Chutia people
[edit]You have a mixed record of contributions, with several of your contributions automatically flagged in your contribution history as problematic. Sticking to the positive: thank you for this edit of yours at Chutia people undoing eight unsourced revisions by another editor (who has been warned previously about unsourced article changes several times). Your revert improves the article.
However: when you undo another editor's work, it's not enough to do a stealth revert with a one-word edit summary like "Restored"; you need to either use the undo feature, if it's available to you, which will automatically provide a detailed edit summary, or you need to explain in the summary exactly what was reverted (how many revisions, by whom, restoring what version), and the reason why. Your reason might be something like, "Unsourced", or "Unexplained removal of sourced content", or "violation of policy on biographies of living persons", or whatever the problem was that needed to be fixed by undoing it, but it needs to be detailed enough to justify a revert. Also, as a new editor, you should be conservative about reverting; consider the possibility of fixing the problem, instead of reverting.
Please also take care to follow Wikipedia policies and guidelines yourself. I've left you a Welcome message above, that has some links you can follow which may help. Thanks, and happy editing! Mathglot (talk) 21:33, 28 May 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi SashankaChutia! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Chutia people that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. - Sumanuil (talk) 01:11, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
