If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Scuba.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. My76Strat 00:24, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation

[edit]
You recently made a submission to Articles for Creation. Your article has been reviewed and declined; it is now located at Wikipedia:Articles for creation/. Please view your submission to see the comments left by the reviewer. Feel free to edit the submission to address the issues raised, and resubmit once you feel they have been resolved. (You can do this by adding the text {{subst:AFC submission/submit}} to the top of the article.) Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia!

Your article needs to have a neutral style of writing. It seems very advertisement like and biased.

Thank you for your contribution and hopefully you would continue to help to make it a better encyclopedia

regards

  • Hi. I understand your frustration and I apologize for the harsh tone of the template I used, but there are some issues here, all of which can be addressed. First is conflict of interest. If you're associated with a product, website or organization, you're generally discouraged to write about it. I've written about things in which I have personal involvement, but I was extremely careful to follow the neutral point-of-view policy, so yes, it can be done. Second is the promotional tone of the article itself; it had been deleted multiple times as more promotional than encyclopedic. Finally, any organization, especially web content, requires a great deal of notability. If there are any verifiable third-party references such as inclusion in a major publication or other industry news source, those should be used and will likely keep the article from being deleted. What I can do for you is to create a user subpage. This is an online page you can work on here on the site but off of the main article space. I'll create it at User:Scubadiver1752/Scuba.com. If you see the link as blue, the text is ready to go. Also, please keep in mind that even if you own the copyright to the text, it still can't be used unless it's released in writing to the Wikimedia Foundation. I never recommend this since your original copyright is permanently rendered null and void and allows anyone to use it for any purpose. I hope this helps. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Scuba.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. -- Transity(talkcontribs) 22:08, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted your page because it sounded too much like spam

[edit]

Also, it was difficult to find reliable, independent references. By independent, it must mean that the interests of the organisation and the interests of the news source should be distinct; the Golden Web Awards are hardly notable and eworldwire is a PR service. elle vécut heureuse à jamais (be free) 23:32, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'd be willing to help you though, though I am not convinced of its notability. For example, I cannot find any independent sources on Google News; while I can find press releases in the archives, press releases are not independent since they are likely paid for by the original company. elle vécut heureuse à jamais (be free) 02:08, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
