[edit]Hello, I'm VickKiang. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Pruk Panich have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. VickKiang (talk) 05:52, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
- Per request, in regards to "could you elaborate how you would write neutrally and ensure that the subject meets the relevant notability guidelines (see WP:GNG, WP:BASIC, WP:NARTIST)?": I've tried to write only about what i found on the internet, without any personal opinion involved. Granted, a mistake was made, but I was made aware of it and the article was edited in conformity to the rules. I will edit the artist's page by only using information that can be found in media articles. Concerning to meeting relevant notability guidelines, here are some references for media articles from reliable sources:

- Of the two online refs, both are interviews/interview format that are non-independent and non-secondary. I think it is unconvincing that WP:GNG/WP:BASIC/WP:ARTIST are passed. VickKiang (talk) 03:31, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
- I'm sorry. According to WP:GNG, "Independent of the subject" excludes works produced by the article's subject or someone affiliated with it. For example, advertising, press releases, autobiographies, and the subject's website are not considered independent.", interviews do not fall under this category. The 2 refs you, Vicky, have mentioned are interviews to the possible subject of the article. I'm really confused here. Because I see interviews being used as refs all the time. So, can and SHOULD the reds used have a personal opinion on the subject, as long as the author of said opinion and the subject are not connected? Thank you for your time. Seadiamond123 (talk) 05:31, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
- WP:GNG states that
"Sources" should be secondary sources, as those provide the most objective evidence of notability. There is no fixed number of sources required since sources vary in quality and depth of coverage, but multiple sources are generally expected.
Per WP:PRIMARY, there are varying definitions but interviews are frequently considered to be primary. - Moreover, you are confusing sources that are acceptable to use in articles with what sources contribute to notability. In articles generally WP:RS is expected, but others for non-controversial, non-WP:BLP related, non-extraodinary claims... could use self-published sources by subject-matter-experts or the guideline at WP:ABOUTSELF. These sources are acceptable to cite in articles. However, this does not mean that all of these sources are reliable, independent, secondary, and constitute of significant coverage that counts as sources towards notability. Per WP:GNG,
Moreover, not all coverage in reliable sources constitutes evidence of notability for the purposes of article creation; for example, directories and databases, advertisements, announcements columns, and minor news stories are all examples of coverage that may not actually support notability when examined, despite their existence as reliable sources.
A reliable source could be non-significant (WP:SIGCOV) or primary/debatably independent in many cases. The guidelines does not mean that every article published in credible newspapers, as per the ones you linked above, automatically contribute to notability. Speedy deletion nomination of Domundi
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Domundi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Onel5969 TT me 13:07, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
Hi. I have been able to read further into why i i've been blocked, but I'm not able to reply directly to the comments (probably because I have been blocked. I would like to state I am not an undisclosed paid editor. This is the first time we have created a wikipedia page and granted mistakes might have been made. In relation to the promotional aspect of the page, I received the warning on the whole section of text that fell under that category, and it was deleted. Concerning why the agency page was created before the artist, we just spent more time working on the artist page (which indeed we are fans of). However, if I'm not mistaken we submitted both for review on the same day. We believe the artist has enough notability to have an artist page on wikipedia. Even though he is Thai, some of the works he's been involved with cater to an international audience, hence why he was such a big international following. For this reason, we felt it would be relevant for his international fans to be able to find information (in english) on his professional life in one of the most used internet pages. If there's a way to sort this situation, please tell me which way to go from here. Thank you.Seadiamond123 (talk) 05:24, 14 November 2022 (UTC)|decline=I think you'd need to tell us why you're using plural pronouns to refer to actions taken by this account. - @Seadiamond123: You stated
we
multiple times, who are you referring to here? VickKiang (talk) 05:27, 14 November 2022 (UTC)- It's quite obvious just from your post here you have some sort of connection to the agency. If you are employed by them, that is paid editing. 331dot (talk) 09:17, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- I don't even care about the agency page. I just want to be able to write the artist's page. I will not try to write the agency page. soMETIMES plural was used because more than one fan worked on the artist's page. Can't you track my IP? How would someone in Europe be involved with a Thai agency? Seadiamond123 (talk) 19:34, 15 November 2022 (UTC)

you need to demonstrate that you can write following WP:NPOV, disclose your WP:COI, and write without puffery, see WP:PUFFERY. Moreover, please ensure that the artist passes notability guidelines, see Help:Your first article and WP:N, please provide three independent reliable secondary references constituting of significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV). Without following those guidelines, even if you are unblocked the article will be deleted again, so if you disclose your COI and is unblocked IMO you should choose something else to work on, with a variety of tasks available at Wikipedia:Task center. Thanks. VickKiang (talk) 20:33, 15 November 2022 (UTC)- So, if i understand correctly, in order for my account to be unblocked i would need to disclose my COI in regards to the artist page I'm trying to write about? There's nothing to disclose though. In regards to what you, Vicky, wrote above "I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Pruk Panich have been undone" very well, they were no longer included in the artist's page. As stated in my previous message, the main goal was to write about the artist. Seadiamond123 (talk) 00:14, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
- That is an automatic message. And besides, if you are interested in writing about the artist, could you elaborate how you would write neutrally and ensure that the subject meets the relevant notability guidelines (see WP:GNG, WP:BASIC, WP:NARTIST)? If you could provide these details in your unblock message I'm sure that an admin would reconsider the block. Many thanks. VickKiang (talk) 00:33, 16 November 2022 (UTC)

(Uninvolved editor comment:) As I mentioned on the blocking admin's user talk page, I'm not personally seeing reason to presume COI editing here, nor any connection to the subjects of the articles. It's entirely plausible that the editors are indeed fans; their contribution patterns (with their problems) are consistent with a lot of fan edits I've seen. Being a fan does not constitute conflict of interest. --Paul_012 (talk) 22:14, 15 November 2022 (UTC)
The only clear problem seems to be if the account is being shared by multiple people (which is not allowed). Seadiamond123, please clarify whether this is/was the case, or if you were referring to other accounts. --Paul_012 (talk) 06:43, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
- There are other accounts, from other fans, interested in writing about the artist, as well about other artist from the same circle. However, the account "Seadiamond123" password is only known by one person - me, the one who's been trying to undo the block. Seadiamond123 (talk) 22:07, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
- That's probably enough clarification in response to NinjaRobotPirate's above concerns. You may want to go ahead and place another request using the {{unblock}} template, reiterating the above responses. Be sure to explain your background (why you are interested in writing about the topic on Wikipedia) and clearly state the nature of any relationship or connection that you have or don't have with Domundi or the actors. It would be a good idea to also explain the nature of the off-Wiki collaboration you have with the other editors. (Is this a coordinated fan project to make Wikipedia pages for the artists? If so, who's organising this? Is there any compensation, reward or recognition involved?) And as VickKiang suggested, elaborating on how you intend to adjust your writing to avoid the previous issues would also be helpful (though they weren't directly the reason for the blocking, so please first focus on clarifying the connection or lack thereof). --Paul_012 (talk) 08:15, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for responding to VickKiang's suggestion above. To lift the block, the case will have to be reviewed by an administrator, which neither VickKiang or I are. To submit a new unblock request, you'll have to place a new {{unblock}} template at the bottom of this page, and explain your case as described above. --Paul_012 (talk) 09:36, 19 November 2022 (UTC)
- ank you for your clarification Paul.h Seadiamond123 (talk) 03:16, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
