[edit]Hello, I'm Cordless Larry. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Somalis, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:Gode. Such edits are disruptive, and may appear to other editors to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 13:30, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
Gode
[edit]Please do not change the name without getting the article title changes. You need to make a move request - see WP:RM and to show that your spelling is the most common in English language reliable sources, as this is the English language Wikipedia. Thanks. Doug Weller talk 13:34, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
Population of Somalis
[edit]Editors, including you, are changing figures so that they no longer match the source. This violates WP:VERIFY. I doubt there can be population figures for this year in any case as the year hasn't ended. I'm not going to try to find new sources myself. Doug Weller talk 14:51, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Jail Ogaden
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Jail Ogaden requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://allafrica.com/stories/201807050245.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Ogaden (clan). Furthermore, do not mark edits as "minor" when making substantial changes to an article, such as introducing new content. This flag is reserved for actual minor changes, such as a spelling correction. Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 21:39, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
