Rajeev Masand[edit]

Why is it necessary to have all of Rajeev Masand's movie reviews in Wikipedia? We don't have this for more notable film critics such as Roger Ebert. Why should Masand be an exception? --Mr. Vernon (talk) 08:23, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Rajeev Masand[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Rajeev Masand, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rajeev Masand. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Mr. Vernon (talk) 02:24, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Rajeev Masand. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 16:38, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Collectonian has done some terrific work at making the article suitable for Wikipedia. It is improper to have a long, long list of this reviewer's works. One or two representative samples of his most notable examples would be okay... as well as would be a link back to his reviews somewhere else. Please trust that he has your best interest and the interest of your article in mind. He is not removing them just to upset you. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 06:08, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • And the example above of Anerican film critic Roger Ebert. Look at the article. See how it is put together. It does not have such a list. It is not needed nor expected. Find links to articles about Rajeev Masand. Add them as external links. Flesh out the backgorund of his work, his education, his other projects... source them. But a long list? Nope. Continuing to try adding it will work to your disadvantage with an editor who has been a tremendous ally in your efforts. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 06:12, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring[edit]

In Wikipedia, the verdict on whether something should be included or not generally hinges on consensus. Accordingly, if you find your edits reverted, do not revert the reversion. Instead, you should discuss the reversion on the article's talkpage and see if consensus has been arrived at. I am glad that you did not breach the three revert rule in regards to Rajeev Masand, as if you had it is extremely likely you would have been blocked. If the consensus shows that some material ought not to be added, as seems to be the case there, you must cease and desist from adding it again, much like the idea that you must not repost deleted articles. If you have any questions about this or other matters of policy and practice, please refer to wikipedia policy (WP:NOT and specifically WP:NOTDIR might be helpful in this case) or, as always, feel free to leave a note at my talkpage by clicking the new section link at the top of that page. Thank you for your contributions! --Falcon Darkstar Kirtaran (talk) 09:45, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Barkat Ali Dargah.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Barkat Ali Dargah.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:05, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Help with photographs[edit]

Hi there. I have recently expanded the Wadala article. I was impressed by the photographs you have added in the gallery section. I am currently working on expanding the Dadar article. Wanted to know if you could get some pictures of locations in Dadar as well. Shravan.Iyer (talk) 13:31, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Bigg Boss (Season 4) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:HAMMER

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. File copyright problem with File:DYPatil Stadium2.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:DYPatil Stadium2.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock(TALK) 02:43, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
