Canadian authors
[edit]Stacey, I note from your contributions that you appear to have undertake a project to expand the coverage of Canadian authors at Wikipedia. A commendable project, but please keep Wikipedia's notability guidelines in mind. Your latest contribution, David Stouck, does not appear to merit inclusion. The creation of a large body of work is not, in itself, notable. The creation of a body of work that has been recognized as significant in some manner would make one notable, but this does not appear to be the case with Mr Stouck. Short listed or finalist (not even a winner) for several relatively minor local book awards does not quite meet the bar. I have noted the notability problem on the article. If it can be addressed, great; if not, the article will likely be deleted. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:29, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
- I do feel that Stacey has added enough WP:RS to establish notability. Were this to be nominated for deletion in its current form, my view would be to oppose. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 18:26, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
- Agreed -- there are sufficient sources now. There were not when I made my comments. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 18:27, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
- Uh, yes, please read WP:BIO. I just looked at three biographies of yours, and had to AFD all three of them. I don't have time to review all of your contribs, but I am seriously worried about them, given the current three out of three sample I looked at :( CC User:WikiDan61, User:Shawn in Montreal). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:52, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
Defaultsort
[edit]Hi, when you create these articles you may wish to start adding a "default sort" template, just over the categories, to ensure that your article subject is categorized by last rather than first name. I've just added it to Aga Maksimowska and what it looks like is {{DEFAULTSORT:Maksimowska, Aga}}. You can find the template in the "Wiki mark up" list under your edit screen, or type it out manually, or just copy it from my comment here, substituting the name as need be. best and happy editing, Shawn in Montreal (talk) 18:40, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

WikiProject Women writers Invitation
[edit]The article Melanie Murray has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:AUTHOR
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 21:13, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
