Welcome to Wikipedia. You did indeed go about bringing attention to the photo in the wrong way. Deleting all of the content of the article is not the correct way to fix an issue with the photo. Instead, please use the article talk page to discuss the matter with other editors about either correcting the article or selecting another photo. Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for your contributions to the expansion chamber article, which does IMO still need work.

And I know there's a lot to read. Be encouraged that being bold is not a crime here. But don't blank any more pages is my advice... it's generally considered disruption. Once by a new editor is fine IMO. More may bring some heated criticism.
