Final Fantasy

[edit]

Hello, I'd like to continue discussion here since we were getting off-topic on the other page, which is intended to review that specific Featured Article. Are you talking about Final Fantasy? What are your concerns with it? You can bring them up in a new discussion at Talk:Final Fantasy if you like. Let me know if you have any questions about this or anything else! —Erik (talkcontrib) 20:25, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • An article needs to reach Featured Article status first. For the main page, an editor named Raul654 (talk · contribs) is in charge of updating the main page with Featured Articles that are requested for display. You saw the requests page; he evaluates the amount of support for a request and updates accordingly. I think that he tries to make sure that there is a variety of articles; for example, there would not be a film article right after a film article. —Erik (talkcontrib) 20:55, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Changing username

[edit]

See Wikipedia:Changing username. —Erik (talkcontrib) 02:42, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed it again for you. Don't be too hasty around here next time. :) bibliomaniac15 The annual review... 03:00, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message. WP:RM is shorthand for Wikipedia:Requested moves where editors can ask for help moving pages. – ukexpat (talk) 03:12, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I requested the move because the naming conventions for films says to use disambiguation if another page of the same name exists. No other page with this name exists, so I filed a request to move it. For discussion related to the article, let's have it at its talk page: Talk:The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchell. That way, editors can see the discussion in the future and perhaps use information from it to improve the article. —Erik (talkcontrib) 16:13, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are being discussed on User_talk:Gwen_Gale#Nother

[edit]

It appears that the users believe you are a sock. Ikip (talk) 05:52, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

nevermind. Ikip (talk) 11:23, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Moved from user talk ikip:

Hi Ikip. How come you alerted me about Gwen Gail. She is watching my behavior. The Wurdalak (talk) 22:19, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
as a courteousy, I thought you may want to know. Ikip (talk) 23:16, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Succession boxes

[edit]

Thanks for your message. The discussion is currently at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Australian politics. I don't personally have a view either way - just wanted to bring the edit war to a halt to let calm discussion occur. Euryalus (talk) 02:07, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sock Puppet?

[edit]

Hi there, I see you are performing a typical sock puppet function and making sensible comments on userbox related issues. No doubt you'll revert some anonymous vandalism next, confirming everyone's suspicions re: sockpuppetry. --Roisterer (talk) 03:18, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Did I touch a userbox? The Wurdalak (talk) 03:20, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You can still read pages, but you cannot edit, change, or create them.

Editing from The Wurdalak (your account, IP address, or IP address range) has been disabled by Gwen Gale for the following reason(s): Block evasion: User:Manhattan Samurai

This block has been set to expire: indefinite.

Even if blocked, you will usually still be able to edit your user talk page and contact other editors and administrators by e-mail.

Note: If you have JavaScript enabled, please use the [show] links across from each header to show more information.

Unblock request

[edit]

Hello, I would like further information about why my IP address matches that used by another blocked account and request unblocking. The Wurdalak (talk) 15:25, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

The Wurdalak (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I am not a sockpuppet of account Manhattan Samurai. I would like further information about why my IP address matches that used by another blocked account and request unblocking.

Decline reason:

You are a sockpuppet, and around five independent admins concur, having already discussed this block on #wikipedia-en-unblock and have instructed you to contact the arbitration committee. For your reference, I can re-post the log per channel guidelines in hopes of refreshing your memory. Similarly, if any administrator would like more details on this block, I'd be more than happy to fill you in. Cheers. --slakrtalk / 00:19, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hi Slakr, yes, we discussed it on irc but I saw a unblock template used by the other sockpuppets so I did what they did. Can you please re-post the log? The Wurdalak (talk) 00:24, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppetry

[edit]

ArbCom has replaced the indefinite block with a six months block for sockpuppetry involving User:Duh Wart Lake and user:Duh Elk At War as follows:

"whether or not The Wurdalak is Manhattan Samurai, your behaviour when blocked in suddenly creating multiple sockpuppets is not acceptable and your response when approached is not constructive."

For the Arbitration Committee,

 Roger Davies talk 06:46, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Based on continued sockpuppetry based on findings here, I have reset your block to run six months from now. --Jayron32 02:18, 1 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Based on your continued sockpuppetry as evidenced at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/The Wurdalak/Archive, I have reset the six month block. NW (Talk) 01:57, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And now that you have persisted the block has been extended to indefinite. Please email ArbCom if you wished to be unblocked, otherwise we are done here. Tiptoety talk 19:32, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
