Your user page

[edit]

I deleted the draft there per WP:U5. I was not an article, nor was it viable. If you can find references to support her notability, please say. I found nothing significant. Please see WP:42. Please don't be upset. If there is anything you ever need or have any questions, please ask. Thank you, and happy editing. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:02, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Is there anyone that can help me edit this page, I am not a wikipedia expert, I am not a grammar expert, this young lady is relevant and should have a wiki page, please give me some suggestions on how to do this or just tell me point blank, your ON YOUR OWN, thank you. Timedborg 12:17, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
You are not on your own. I can help. Read Wikipedia:Your first article. But, to save you time, please let's start with finding references. Can you find any? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:22, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Anna! Yes, there are tons of media/press releases on her, do those count as references? Timedborg 14:26, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

Happy to help. :) Press releases aren't so good. Again, please read WP:42. We are looking for media stories that discuss her in detail. How about those? Search:

Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:58, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I searched "Brielle-news" and this came up Enstars interviewStuff like this Anna?Timedborg 16:20, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

Yes! Now, how many like that can you find? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:18, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Great! Thanks Anna. Ok, so I can probably find several like this, should I add their links so you can see for approval? and once I have them, then what do I do? Create a fact sheet or?Timedborg 10:14, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
I have restored your userpage and moved it to Draft:Brielle Daniele Edborg. You can work on it there. Again, please read Wikipedia:Your first article. Oh, and that image. Do you own it? Where is it from? And the text? Did you write it? Is it copy pasted from somewhere? Thanks, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:18, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks!Yes, I own the image. Its one of her press photo's taken that my company AGP Records produced and owns. As far as the txt on the draft I started, yes, I wrote it. Should I have someone else write it? Timedborg 12:27, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
Ah, that's good news. It is okay that you wrote it. Although you have a conflict of interest, you can still write the article. Please read Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, though. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:38, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Great. I also added several news article editorial links to the draft-maybe those would be earmarked for "references"? I will read the both articles you suggested and then continue editing. When I think I have something satisfactory, I will tell you? or should I submit for review? Timedborg 12:47, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

Instead of adding links like you are doing, write the sentence, and then at the end of that sentence, add the reference that supports the facts. Like so:
References go like this:

Sorry, the yellow box wasn't so clear. Maybe explaining this way:

Click edit at the draft. Change things this way:

Before: [http://www.about-rabbits.com Rabbits are cute]/nowiki> After: Rabbits are cute.<nowiki><ref>http://www.about-rabbits.com</ref>

Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:35, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

They eat carrots.<ref>http://www.rabbit-diet-info.org</ref>
Paste this at the bottom of the article:
==References==
{{reflist}}
Click save and all the references will automatically get listed at the bottom. Easy peasy.

Take your time, and when you are ready, click submit. The key to getting it approved is lots and lots of good refs and non-promo tone. I will look it over if you want before you submit it. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:07, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks!Timedborg 13:24, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

See Heteropolypus. Open it in another tab and click edit. Then compare how it looks as an article and as it appears when in edit mode. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:39, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I have edited and ready for your review, thanks.Timedborg 14:02, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

It looks good, although the full stops are now missing.
I see the image was deleted. Do not worry. I am sure it was a licensing issue. You can upload it again when the article is ready and I will help you with the licensing. Anna F remote (talk) 00:44, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Anna, I what are the "full stops"? The only thing I did different was to clean up a bit of the grammar to make less promotional and more like an encyclopedia. Thanks. Timedborg 10:11, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

Full stops are periods, like at the end of this sentence. Here are ten of them: .......... The references go directly after the periods, with no spaces between the period and the reference. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:35, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There is actually an article called Full stop. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:37, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I finished adding back in the full stops, Let me know what next step is if I have done it correctly. Thanks Timedborg 11:39, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

I formatted it a bit. You can improve it, I'm sure. A lot of redlinks probably have Wikipedia articles, but I have the names wrong. It does still sound a bit promotional, and I haven't checked the references to see if they actually discuss her in detail. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:59, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I moved a bunch of the references to external links because the only thing they supported was the sentence "She did an interview with..."
Try to add lots of prose about who she is and what she does or did supported by references that discuss her in detail. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:14, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
At the bottom your comment "Not sure what this is" is an interview with IAAM.Timedborg 14:42, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
I haved edited it to a point that I believe is ready, tell me what you think, thanksTimedborg 19:53, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
I don't know. Again, two things: Tons and tons of references supporting facts in the article. Any info in the sites at the external links section added to the body, with those external links used as references would be good. Make sure any promotional tone is avoided. I cannot check most of the references because the sites are blocked here in China.
Consider uploading the image again and adding it to the article. I will help with the license.
Click submit when you feel it's ready. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:12, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I uploaded the image. How do I "insert caption here" into the image at the bottom? Also, there are 3 references that I am using that have padolocks on them. Lastly, all of the pulic links you put in say (page doesnt exhist). As far as the article goes, I think I am ready, if you would kindly give me your opinion. thanks for all of your help! Timedborg 14:00, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

I fixed the caption. Click edit and you will see and be able to modify it if you wish. I do not see padlocks. I do not know what you mean by "public links". Are they red? If so, it is either because they go to an article that doesn't yet exist, which may be okay, or the spelling is wrong, but the article exists. And sure, if you haven't got any more content and refs to add, there's no harm in clicking submit. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:22, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, I have no idea if it will be approved because I cannot check most of the refs. But, good luck! Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:28, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Anna, ok I have submitted it. One thing, you were going to help me with the licensing of the photo? I do have evidence of use that I received via email. Timedborg 18:35, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

Did you send in the OTRS email? If so, it should be fine. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:21, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No, what was the email again? or where can I find the instructs?Timedborg 00:29, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

It is probably best to upload it to http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard and then add {{OTRS pending|year=2014|month=September|day=17}} to the image at commons.
Here is the OTRS letter and email address: User:Anna Frodesiak/OTRS
Swap in the correct info (OWNERNAME top and bottom, EXAMPLE.JPG, and DATE at the bottom),
and send to: permissions-commons@wikimedia.org
Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:05, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Great news, they approved the pic and said they modified the page (Dear Timothy, We have received the permission for the image and have made the necessary modifications to the file page). Anna, is there anything else I need to do as far as the photo goes? Lastley, thanks for all of your help through this! I know getting the final submission for approval isnt done yet, but thanks. Timedborg 16:26, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

The image is fine now. No further action required on that. Happy to help. Good luck. There's a backlog, so it will take a while for the review, and no guarantees. All the best. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 16:36, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, if they deny, will they allow me to make edits until it is? or is there a finite amount of times, etc? Timedborg 17:03, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

No time limit, really. You can keep on working on it now, and if it is declined, you can work on it more and submit it again and again. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 17:07, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again!Timedborg 17:25, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

Start class

[edit]

To see what start class means go to WP:QUALITY. The summary is "An article that is developing, but which is quite incomplete.". We make sure references look OK. Different project can give ratings on the talk page. You should be able to get to a C and B class by expanding the writing. The quality to go for next is GA class. This means good article.
