Information icon Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Xherdan Shaqiri, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Xherdan Shaqiri may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • in [[Gnjilane]], Kosovo <ref>http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/players/player=321653/index.html</ref>]<ref>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnjilane</ref> to Albanian Kosovar parents.<ref>{{cite web | url
  • = Gnjilane, Kosovo <ref>http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/players/player=321653/index.html</ref>]<ref>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnjilane</ref>

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 09:31, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Xherdan Shaqiri. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 13:37, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Xherdan Shaqiri. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Qed237 (talk) 16:00, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to me that you are engaged in many disputes with other editors here, almost always changing pages regarding Albania or Kosovo, people from Albania and Kosovo, or events pertaining to these two countries. Gjilan is a city in the republic of Kosovo. Therefore, the birthplace of Xherdan Shaqiri is Gjilan, Kosovo. Whether you have personal objections to the fact that Gjilan is part of Kosovo, this is not the place to take your anger.

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Xherdan Shaqiri. Qed237 (talk) 18:30, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please read {{Infobox person}} that states Place of birth: city, administrative region, sovereign state. Use the name of the birthplace at the time of birth, e.g.: Saigon (prior to 1976), Ho Chi Minh City (post 1976). Do not use a flag template. We should always use place of birth, not current country.
