Image:MI5.jpg

I'm have no experience in these matters, so forgive me if this is a stupid question. Since you marked the Image:MI5.jpg with {{di-no source|date=9 October 2008}}, Andy Dingley has added a source for that image. May that tag now be removed? Should Andy Dingley have removed it? May anybody remove it it?

Also (to help me understand how these things work): given that the image comes from Commons and no action to delete it seems to occur there, would deleting it on EN Wikipedia have any effect? -- Regards, Michael Bednarek (talk) 12:42, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Good ¦ questions, neither of which I know the answer to, I didn't notice it was Commons :-O If there's now a source, though, I reckon we can just remove the tag and forget all about it. ╟─Treasury§Tagcontribs─╢ 20:36, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

That was pretty clearly an attack page - not nonsense. Toddst1 (talk) 19:06, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

? Does it really matter how I tag it, it still gets speedily deleted... It looked fairly nonsensical to me... ╟─Treasury§Tagcontribs─╢ 19:07, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, yes. If I deleted it with the wrong reason, someone could easily say I'm abusing admin privileges. (some people seem to make a sport of doing things like that) Also a page like that warrants a 4im message for defamation. Cyberbullying like that can have real-life consequences. Toddst1 (talk) 19:13, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Nobody would accuse you of abusing admin privileges for deleting that, really. If they did, they'd be ridiculed and rightly so! ╟─Treasury§Tagcontribs─╢ 19:14, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

I've been given tons of crap for piddly little things like that. Anyway - I agree - not that big a deal. Cheers. Toddst1 (talk) 23:06, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

We know better

Hiya TreasuryTag. I'm having trouble understanding what Youknowbest is complaining about. His english doesn't seem too good. GoodDay (talk) 14:29, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

PS- Yes, blocking might be required. He/she seems to be toying with us. GoodDay (talk) 14:35, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
I've no idea what they're complaining about but s/he looks like a POV-warrior to me :P The tone of their rants isn't that constructive, either. ╟─Treasury§Tagcontribs─╢ 15:19, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
Perhaps it's time to block. GoodDay (talk) 15:29, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

I definitely think it is - the thingy I quoted in my latest response on the Admins' Noticeboard is absurd. He'll almost certainly just start again after a short (24-48 hour) block, but that can be a fair warning, I guess! ╟─Treasury§Tagcontribs─╢ 15:31, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Okie Dokie. GoodDay (talk) 15:37, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Is there a source that you believe is being violated in this article? A quick google check didn't come back with a match. Lacking that, I'd assume it was a school assignment. Toddst1 (talk) 16:59, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Possible; I just thought that a new user posting that amount of material in one edit, with strange formatting, must have been copy-pasted from somewhere. It'd have to be university, of course, though - what school teaches that sort of stuff? :-) ╟─Treasury§Tagcontribs─╢ 17:03, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Barnstar

The Special Barnstar
TreasuryTag,

Thank you very much for your work on Youknowbest. It was an hour before sundown at the start of Shemini Atzeres and I made the decision to check Wikipedia "one last time" before I had to go to shul, when I ran into some edits that sorely needed attention. I did as much as I could in the little time I had, and I worried about how far he'd be able to go before I could get back to Wikipedia 2 days later. How relieved I was when I turned the computer back on 48 hours later to see you were on top of the issue. Shirulashem (talk) 00:39, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Always a pleasure - chag sameach! ╟─Treasury§Tagcontribs─╢ 06:43, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi, your edit to Republican marriage was erroneous (you corrected "mariage" to "marriage" in the French translation, which is indeed spelled with one "r"). Please make a note of it. Cheers! bd2412 T 03:38, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Pardon me! I won't blame AWB, either! ╟─Treasury§Tagcontribs─╢ 06:44, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Youknowbest

FYI, I reopened the discussion about Youknowbest. Shirulashem (talk) 15:31, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks - I was on the verge of that myself! ╟─TreasuryTagcontribs─╢ 15:35, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

i knew i knew you!

I knew your username sounded familiar. Check this out (the second vote, Strong Keep). :-) Shirulashem (talk) 00:55, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I'm sure that you're aware but the db-person tag you added to this page has been deleted. It has also now degenerated into a general rant about the individual and the US educational system. Thanks Nelson50T 08:29, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for telling me; I'm on it :-) ╟─Treasury§Tagcontribs─╢ 09:48, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

I was searching whether there were any real sources on this guy, either to rewrite or take to AfD, and found it was a copyvio.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 21:44, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
