Club Sportivo Gloria moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Club Sportivo Gloria, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Rijeka/Kvarner
[edit]The name was bilingual so both "Kvarner" and "Quarnero" were official names between 1946 and 1954, however there is ZERO reasons that the Italian name would be used in the Yugoslav football system, check some old newspapers from ex-yugoslavia and you would see that they always used the name "Kvarner" when playing in Yugoslavia, obviously. - The name was initially Italian, because the city was almost 100% Italian speaking in 1946. Only a couple of months later the SD Kvarner part is added, and the club is officially first language Italian / second language Croatian until the early '50s, and it is thus known as "Quarnero" in the English-language press (the city is known internationally as with the Italian name Fiume well into the '60s).
- Moreover, the club is called exclusively Quarnero in the local press of those years, because the main city language is still Italian until the '50s. Do you use the Croatian name for Ponziana (Poncijana) for the club from Trieste that played in the same same league those years? No. This is why it makes fully sense to use Quarnero for the English Wiki.
- Slovenian, Croatian (except Fiume area), Serbian etc. newspapers and league officials definitely used Kvarner and not Quarnero, also the websites that cover those leagues, like there and there. And also RSSSF, which is one of the most reliable sources for football, uses Kvarner for 1946-47. Snowflake91 (talk) 15:33, 8 November 2021 (UTC)

The article NK Lošinj has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
