Welcome![edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Allied Express, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hello Wilcostorm. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Wilcostorm. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Wilcostorm|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Yunshui  11:16, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Allied Express for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Allied Express is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Allied Express (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Praxidicae (talk) 12:29, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

In my haste to create a company page for Allied Express, I have negated to disclose my COI and affiliation. Using the suggested comments and policies, I'll not try any shortcuts or follow articles which are not published from Wikipedia itself. My intention was not to promote Allied Express in any way, I did intend to create a page of only factual information -which is why I did my best to source citations from credible sources with an unbiased perspective. My second err was not creating a 'request for article creation' to show good faith. I will use the connected contributor template for my COI moving forward and follow the terms of service more closely. To be honest, there was so much information to digest I thought I could skip it. It seems I've done some injustice to myself. I'm happy to be guided in the right direction from your feedback and recommendations. With that said, I would like to have the opportunity to continue contributing as an editor and do things the proper way. Regards, W Wilcostorm (talk) 00:20, 21 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This was at least the fourth attempt by Allied Express to write an article about themselves. Previous attempts have included COI disclosure but still saw the editors blocked because of promotional editing. It appears that this was an attempt to create the article while avoiding scrutiny, and this account should be considered a sockpuppet of previous (blocked) employee accounts such as User:Jana Allied Express. I thus have to agree with your comment above: "My second err was not creating a 'request for article creation' to show good faith." - You are not operating in good faith, and it's best to leave this account blocked. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a forum to merely provide information or merely tell about a company. "Factual information" is just another phrase for promotion. Wikipedia is only interested in what independent reliable sources state about article subjects that are notable as Wikipedia defines it, for companies that is defined at WP:ORG. Wikipedia has no interest in what a company wants to say about itself, only in what independent sources state. Please read WP:COI and WP:PAID. It's unlikely you will be unblocked to edit about your company, are there any other subjects you want to edit about? 331dot (talk) 00:57, 21 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
