Excellent article! Hope to see more about European immigrants in Argentina! =) --CrazyAmerican 16:57, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, sorry for taking so long. The article was tagged by Marianocecowski (talk · contribs) as a "direct copyvio" of http://www.nordicway.com/argentina.htm. Sincerely I don't see what's the problem here, the website provided doesn't state any exclusive rights, and in my opinion this is not copyright infringement. Also it should be noted that Wikipedia itself encourages editors to create and improve new articles, you know, META:ACP, WP:BOLD, WP:IAR, etc., so why this article cannot be on Wikipedia?
- Homever, I think you must contact Nordicway.com and ask for permission. If this cannot be obtained you can always reword most of the page or, of course, include this information on other articles (Argentina, Buenos Aires) and then cite this website as a source, but it's up to you. Hope this helps mate, I don't want to loss this wonderful article! Goodbye. --CrazyAmerican 04:12, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
Congratulations!
[edit]For your amazing work on Swedish, Norwegian and European immigrants in Argentina, and in general for all your contributions in Wikipedia, I respectfully award you the Argentine Barnstar of National Merit. Have a good day mate! —NihilAliudScitNecessitasQuamVincere 02:54, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Vandalism

Sockpuppets
[edit]I have reason to believe that the following are accounts created by you in order to vote several times for page deletions: FR-Altas, Celto, Forhonor and IIIV. I am basing this on the following observations:
- The similar signature of the above users' posts in the Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/List_of_Largest_empires page.
- The brevity of the contribution history of the above users.
- The similar edit patterns, e.g.
- Similarity in the standard of English used in posts. (Although far superior to my foreign language skills, it is obviously not that of a native English speaker).
If I have mistakenly accused you then I sincerely and completely apologise. I look forward to hearing your response. Gsd2000 17:33, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry I meant FR-Altas re the Costa Rica edits. Gsd2000 18:18, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
Removals and edit summaries
[edit]Just a little advice... When you change figures and especially when you remove information, please do explain why, or on what grounds (regarding Wikipedia policies, sources, etc.) you did that. For example this was not "wrong" — it was a debatable opinion (falls under WP:NOR). And this was not vandalism or obviously incorrect, so you really should summarize it with more than simply "revert". Here you called the same content "vandalism" when it clearly is not. Other editors can understandably take issue with these removals and with you.
Since you've been working on certain controversial fields (and removing sensitive information), you really really should make yourself clear in all cases, except when you're doing something minor like correcting a typo or a very obvious mistake. If the edit summary is not long enough, use the talk page. —Pablo D. Flores (Talk) 12:40, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- Are you making fun of me? I've just tagged User:24.60.174.79 as yet another suspected sockpuppet of you for the mess he/you made in Argentina. I should block you right now for evading blocks and 3RR, but I'll wait a bit more. If any of "you guys" does anything, you'll all be blocked. —Pablo D. Flores (Talk) 19:43, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Removing vandalism info again
[edit]I'm getting seriously tired of you and your puppets and your racist comments. Must be patience thins with age. Follow up
[edit]Sorry for my tardiness. I think the IP has stopped; in any case, I am not sure if there is anything which is actionable at the moment. If it happens again, I suggest taking it to WP:AN - I think I'll be a bit busy with some other things on Wikipedia for the time being, and you would get a much quicker response there. HTH. --HappyCamper 01:36, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
May I ask why did you revert my edits in Argentina? For the record, I'm an Argentine. I would never vandalize the article. Nat91 00:27, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Blocked for One Week
[edit]You have been blocked from editing for violating Wikipedia policy, by continuing to falsely claim vandalism in edit summaries as well as violations of WP:NPA and WP:CIVIL. Sockpuppets?
[edit]I have reason to believe 24.60.175.168 (talk · contribs) is you, based on the latest edits on Demographics of Argentina and the fact that it's in the same range as your (other) sockpuppets. I noticed you deleted a couple of ethnic minorities from the article while you "reverted vandalism", too. This is the last warning you're going to get; next time you use a sockpuppet, both of you will be blocked. —Pablo D. Flores (Talk) 13:53, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

There is no need to disprove your source because studies in mtDNA are widespread and they are not stopping. your source is taking a more political viewpoin than a scientific one see WP:FRINGE. Mainstream science accepts studies involving mtDNA. Wikipedia accepts reliable sources, it is vandalism to remove reliably sourced scientific material.Muntuwandi 02:16, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Collaboration
[edit]Reading the talk page I see the other editor has made several attempts at a compromise. I stand by my decision of protecting teh article. This is a collaborative environment and often compromise is a crucial concept to keep things flowing smoothly. Looking at the talk page I see the other editor has attempted to discuss it with you and as stated before reach a compromise which you seemed to have no interest in. This is a content dispute, nothing more. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 16:46, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- I am sorry that I will not respond via email. This discussion is not regarding personal information or a highly sentisitve discussion. I prefer keep these discussions on wiki. I am also very selective of who i Email as it is not a wiki only account, again my apologies. Life is not black and white, reach a compromise that is all I ask. IT appears he is willing to work on a compromise, go work it out together. Good luck. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 16:58, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism in the Argentinian article
[edit]After we discussed our setion forever... (an user has been modificating the demographic's section accoding to his/her piacere for weeks now). I explained him/her nicely why our section was more accurated, and the misunderstanding information he/she posted, I told him/her to please he checked our previous discussion in the "Achives" (even when i hardly sign my comments). But he/she doesn't even bother in answered me (well he/she dis answer you once in a really unproper way), and it changes it again.
Pablo and Mariano are on vacations and I can't sent messages to all the Argentinians users that I remember has been working in this fine section for ages!.
So please, i reverted now but take a lok at this user or write him a message.

[edit]Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. To which I will add that you have already violated 3RR at the article. FreeKnowledgeCreator (talk) 21:16, 19 December 2015 (UTC)
