Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, XMenRed, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Destiny of X, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, ask me on my talk page or you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! Goldsztajn (talk) 06:06, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Destiny of X, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on Destiny of X requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.marvel.com/articles/comics/x-men-destiny-of-x-new-titles-team-shakeups-and-more. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Fall of X moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Fall of X, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. How come Marvel official website is not reliable source? XMenRed (talk) 18:38, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem icon Your edit to Fall of X has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. That's just nonsense. This is an information revealed by Marvel.com on their website. How could this be considered a copyright violation? They've just revealed this information.

Just because Marvel published that article on their website doesn't mean you are allowed to copy it word-for-word. It is still protected by copyright laws (the bottom of the article/website even says "©2023 MARVEL"). You should instead paraphrase the information other people wrote in your own words. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited X-Men: From the Ashes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Shark Girl. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 17:57, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Sariel Xilo. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, X-Men: From the Ashes, but you didn't provide a reliable source within the article itself. Rather than removing it, I added a citation to your edit. Please don't provide sources in the edit summary. You should instead reference the source directly within the article; you can have a look at referencing for beginners for additional guidance on inline citations. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Sariel Xilo (talk) 17:25, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at X-Men: From the Ashes, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. You're an experienced enough editor to recognize putting a source in the edit summary is not the same as putting it in the ref column of the table your just created. Sariel Xilo (talk) 16:05, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Again, putting a link in the edit summary is not the same as adding a reference to the article. If you're struggling with knowing how to format inline citations, check out: Wikipedia:Citing sources#Inline citations. Sariel Xilo (talk) 17:08, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
