Welcome!

Hello, Xerocky, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Christine Maggiore does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{Help me}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Floquenbeam (talk) 02:18, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Yobol (talk) 02:50, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hi - and formal notice of discretionary sanctions

[edit]

Hey Xerocky All your edits to date have been to HIV denialism and anti-vaccination pages. In my next edit, I am going to provide you with a formal notice that arguments about these topics have been to Wikipedia's "supreme court" (called arbcom) due to long, protracted disputes over them, and once a topic has been to Arbcom, they generally leave enduring "sanctions" in place on the topic, meaning that administrators can act swiftly to stop disruption so that things don't get out of hand again. Please read the notice I am about to give you, and pay attention to it. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 04:07, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding pseudoscience and fringe science, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Blocked

[edit]

You have been blocked from editing indefinitely. Your edits all violate our policy on neutrality and promote an anti-vaccination, AIDS denialist agenda which is completely at odds with Wikipedia's policies (see for example our policy on fringe views, which yours unquestionably are).
