Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Disambiguation link notification for April 25[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Yobe State University, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Civil law and Hausa. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 13:13, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Overlinking[edit]

I've reverted all of your edits that were the most recent to any article because of violations of WP:OLINK. If you continue to violate OLINK, you risk being blocked.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:16, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Oduduwa University.
You have been clearly warned, above, about WP:Overlinking, by an administrator, but have continued to add such links - please stop before you are blocked - Arjayay (talk) 13:10, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

May 2023[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text at the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 13:21, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi All! I humbly request for unblocking to enable me continue learning and develop wiki skills. Until now, I wasn’t aware I can contribute to the world most visited and largest online encyclopedia. All my contribution have all been basic Wikipedia editing - adding links and references - which are basically within the level of knowledge I have received in the past few days. With the contributions I have made so are mainly to improve readers experience and ease their research by adding useful links and references which are meant to build a well round encyclopedic contents. I might have made mistakes as a result of an oversight and not necessarily to cause disruption. I will take extra care not to make same mistakes going forward. Thanks for your time and consideration. Regards!

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 12:11, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
