Vamana temple (Devanagri:वामन मंदिर) is a Hindu mandir dedicated to Vamana, an incarnation of the deity Vishnu.^[1]

Vamana (Devanagari: वामन, IAST: Vāmana) is described in the Puranic texts of Hinduism as the Fifth Avatar of Vishnu, and the first incarnation of the Second Age, or the Treta yuga. He is the first Avatar of Vishnu which appears with a completely human form, though it was that of a dwarf Brahmin.

The temple was built between assignable to circa 1050-75.^[1] It forms part of the Khajuraho Group of Monuments, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Location

The temple is located in the eastern area of Khajuraho.^[1] It is situated about 200 meters to the north-east to Brahma Temple.^[1]

Architecture

It has a sanctum,^[1] vestibule,^[1] maha-mandapa^[1] with lateral transepts^[1] and an entrance-porch.^[1]
