WVIS (106.1 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve Vieques, Puerto Rico. The station is owned by V.I. Stereo Communications Corporation (P.R.).[1] The radio station previously served St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands.

The station has been assigned these call letters by the Federal Communications Commission since was initially licensed.[2]

WVIS-FM is licensed to operate and serve the community on the east, northeast and southeast of Puerto Rico. Coverage: – a third of Puerto Rico, with 50,000 watts ERP, serving Fajardo, Humacao, Vieques, Culebra, Luquillo, Ceiba, Naguabo, Las Piedras, Yabucoa, Patillas, San Lorenzo, Loiza, Río Grande, Canóvanas, Carolina, San Juan & the US Virgin Islands.[citation needed]

Target – Adult population 18–40 years of age.[citation needed]

Format – Contemporary Hit Radio “CHR” playing Spanish and English hits from the 80’s until today.[citation needed]

“Good Morning Joe” Monday – Friday 6am - 9am hosted by Capt. Joe Blaster, It’s a refreshing and entertaining program with the best music, Guest personalities from the private community or public agencies. Summary of the News, with traffic report and weather Freaky News, the craziest news around the world...

“Roots, Rock & Reggae”, Every Sunday 12 – 2pm with Capt. Joe Blaster – Presents short reviews on what’s happening in the Reggae music atmosphere. “The best of the World Reggae” local and International bands.

“Putumayo World Music Hour” Sundays 5 – 6pm. It’s an exclusive syndicated program hosted by Dan Storper and Rosalie Howarth. With this program they introduce people to the music of the world’s cultures. Putumayo is considered a pioneer and leader in developing the non-traditional market, Putumayo is now heard internationally on over 130 commercial and non-commercial stations.

“Radio Joe Fitness Minute” A sixty second vignette produced by Pat Anderson. Another syndicated program that gives one-minute tips on health, fitness and nutrition.

“BMP Radio Show” Saturdays 6:00 – 8:00pm. It’s the BPM Radio Show with lounge/electronic music. The first hour features resident DJ’s mixing cool tunes like the Lolo Brothers, Víctor Santini (aka Nolo) and Yoel Torres (aka Yolo). 2nd Hour interviews with international DJ’s about the latest party events.
