How long would it take to review the Draft:Huma Batool by @adeelkhanwwc

On hold pending paid editing disclosure, see User talk:Adeelkhanwwc#Declare any connection. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:38, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Adeelkhanwwc: Thank you for your response. With the current backlog, you can expect Draft:Huma Batool to be reviewed by early May 2022.
From a brief look at The Nation, Daily Ausaf, and BBC Urdu, I think it is unlikely to be accepted. The claim to be the "first ever woman owner of an airline ... in 100 years of world aviation history" is nonsense. Modern counterexamples include Western Air, Fly Blue Crane, and Iskwew Air. Innumerable small charter companies have existed, so there's undoubtedly a much earlier first, but it isn't something that anyone tracks.
Ownership requires no particular skill. Successfully managing an airline is much more significant. Even so, only one of Colleen Barrett, Anne Rigail, and Joanna Geraghty, all leaders of major airlines with annual revenues in the billions of dollars, is notable. So it's improbable that being the chairperson of Alvier Airlines, which has yet to fly a single flight, would make a person a suitable subject for an encyclopedia article. Do not confuse exposure in the form of interviews and on social media such as Facebook and YouTube with Wikipedia's concept of notability. --Worldbruce (talk) 07:39, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Worldbruce (talk) Thank you for your response. Please note there is no such claim made by me in the article. I am not sure which media organization mentioned that she is first ever owner in the 100 years Aviation history. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adeelkhanwwc (talkcontribs) 14:31, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Worldbruce (talk) I agree with you. that was my mistake. Correction has been done — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adeelkhanwwc (talkcontribs) 15:51, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

06:43:54, 14 February 2022 review of submission by Ayeshairshad[edit]

This is my firs article on wikipedia. I have tried to write it in as non-advertisement way as possible. I have only stated the facts about the NGO and their edtech mobile applications. I have added 45 plus citations. I have also added Paid template disclosure on my user page for this article.

Please help me and advice me what else should i do.

Ayeshairshad (talk) 06:43, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ayeshairshad There is nothing that you can do, as the draft was rejected. This means that it cannot be considered any more. Wikipedia is not a place to merely tell about an organization and what it does. That is considered promotional here. Wikipedia articles about organizations must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the organization- not based on any materials put out by the organization or the mere reporting of its activities- showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable organization. 331dot (talk) 11:20, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

10:54:44, 14 February 2022 review of draft by JanetFizzCurtis[edit]

I wish to use an image where the photographer is unknown. The photograph was taken approx 1930. Is the allowed, please?

JanetFizzCurtis (talk) 10:54, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

JanetFizzCurtis I would first say that images are not needed in order to get a draft accepted, as reviewers are focused on the text content only- so you don't need to rush to get the image put in the draft(some types of images are not allowed in drafts too). Whether you can use it depends on the copyright law in your country. We have some documentation of this at Wikipedia:Copyright situations by country. See WP:UPIMAGE for more information. 331dot (talk) 11:17, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

11:01:45, 14 February 2022 review of submission by GoodPoliticstruthPolitics[edit]

Hi there. Are political candidates allowed to have a Wikipedia page?

GoodPoliticstruthPolitics (talk) 11:01, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

GoodPoliticstruthPolitics I assume this has to do with the draft I've added a link to in the template above. Please read WP:NPOLITICIAN. With very rare exceptions(such as Christine O'Donnell), merely being a candidate for public office does not merit the person a Wikipedia article. This is because in many places it is not difficult to get listed on the ballot as a candidate, which could lead to many people who register as candidates so they would get a Wikipedia article. That may sound silly to you, but it does happen even now. Wikipedia is not interested in aiding any campaigns, either.
They would merit one if they currently hold public office, or if they win their election. Otherwise, they would need to meet the broader definition of a notable person. 331dot (talk) 11:12, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

11:07:05, 14 February 2022 review of submission by LodoVena[edit]

hi, plz help me in publishing this article LodoVena (talk) 11:07, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The draft was rejected, meaning that it will not be considered further. There does not seem to be significant coverage in independent reliable sources of the use of this slogan. 331dot (talk) 11:14, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Phanindra Kumar.GVR (talk) 12:52, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Gvrpkumar: The draft has been rejected, meaning that it will not be reviewed again. Please also take the time to read the responses you have received before: in December 2020, August 2021, December 2021, also December 2021 (you posted to this help desk and to the Teahouse at the same time), and January 2022. --bonadea contributions talk 15:19, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

14:46:35, 14 February 2022 review of submission by NRFaber[edit]

The rejection indicates that the current form of the article is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Please advice on where this is the case, and where and how we may improve on the article. It is our intention to develop a series of articles on the matter of sustainable business models for the Wikipedia platform.

NRFaber (talk) 14:46, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Who is "we"? Wikipedia accounts are strictly for single person use. Theroadislong (talk) 14:51, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Your draft has only a single source which you wrote, Wikipedia is not a venue for original research. Theroadislong (talk) 14:53, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

21:07:32, 14 February 2022 review of draft by George-white12[edit]

Please can I be updated why the request wasn't accepted?

The styles that we copied are similar to other journalists' and author's styles:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brendan_O%27Neill_(columnist) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toby_Young https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Furedi

And I provided an exhaustive number of sources too, can you let me know if all the writing is wrong or just a section of it?

thanks

George

George-white12 (talk) 21:07, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@George-white12: We are not interested in a rerun of the Seigenthaler incident. Every biographical claim that could potentially be challenged for any justifiable reason MUST be cited to an independent, in-depth, non-routine source with editorial control that corroborates the claim or (if no such sources can be found) removed. This is a hard requirement when writing content about living or recently-departed people on Wikipedia and is NOT NEGOTIABLE. You also cannot use the presence, absence, or condition of other pages to justify your own, and you really shouldn't be taking inspiration from articles that aren't Good or Featured status. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Jéské Couriano 21:12, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
