Completed

[edit]

Will be marking here as various lists are completed. --TheSandDoctor Talk 02:37, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Number 57 --TheSandDoctor Talk 02:37, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I can get to its info page, but trying to view it causes a server error [1] --TheSandDoctor Talk 04:33, 7 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@TheSandDoctor: I also can't get to it (possibly because it's so big, although that didn't stop me accessing it around the time I created it). However, I see the bot is going anyway, so assume it's not an issue? Cheers, Number 57 06:21, 7 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Number 57: After posting that I tested if the API could still pull it and it could thankfully. There were over 20 thousand entries there. The only problem is that it can't be viewed. Aside from the logs, there is no way to visually (easily) confirm correct completion. Oh well. --TheSandDoctor Talk 06:31, 7 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@TheSandDoctor: I think tomorrow I may break it into two separate lists and put them up to view. Number 57 06:34, 7 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Number 57: So long as they are in addition and the current list isn't changed/deleted while the bot is running I'm happy. It is currently merrily chugging along on the 20k+ list, want to keep it that way :P --TheSandDoctor Talk 06:46, 7 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects

[edit]

As many redirects are categorised as placeholders for potential articles, I propose they should be moved as part of this process. They were already included in the lists I produced for the RfC as the list was compiled by using category contents, and as they are being categorised like articles, they should be treated like articles.

This would require an amendment to the bot to move these categorised redirects, hence proposing it here.

If this were to be approved, the process would also create lots of double redirects. These would be cleaned up by the usual bots doing this work, but if it's deemed to be putting too much strain on them, this bot could also amend the newly-created double redirect to point at the original target (not categorising this redirect).

Pinging SQL as the bot approver and GoldRingChip who also seems keen for this to be done. Cheers, Number 57 19:59, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
