==Removing {{db-xxxxx}} tags==

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Kinsol Trestle. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. — Tuvok[T@lk/Improve me] 07:51, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again! I noticed that you used a {{holdon}} tag to replace the speedy-delete tag on Kinsol Trestle, and then removed even that. I cannot stress enough that speedy-delete tags should be left alone, especially if you are the author of the article in question. If the content belongs in the encyclopedia, by the judgment of Wikipedia's administrators, one of them will remove the tag and the article will not be deleted. If you are worried about the article being deleted, my suggestion is to flesh it out a little. The article begins by talking about the trestle's current endangered state, but does not explain much of what it is or its history. Feel free to make comments either here, on the article's talk page, or on my talk page (if you do, please copy this entire section to its own heading on my talk page; thanks!).

Oh, and one more thing. If the article is deleted, there is a process by which other users who agree with your view that it should not have been deleted can request a deletion review. If enough people agree, the article can be restored by an administrator. — Tuvok[T@lk/Improve me] 18:19, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks I appreciate the advice, I am new at this and have very limited time to add to it. However it is very important that I help the general population know more about this structure thus: I help devote time to it. Thanks for yours.

Hello Dra8ton, welcome to Wikipedia! I saw your new article, Kinsol Trestle. It would help if you could add some context. For instance, where is the trestle located? What is its history? How long is it? Thanks for your contributions! --Fang Aili talk 18:22, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Matt. I've made a few changes to the article, for clarity. Regarding your pictures - they're great, thanks for contributing! However they do need license tags. Would you like to release them to GFDL? What this means is that the {{GFDL-self}} tag would be put on your images. You retain the copyright to the image, but you allow other people to use it. Please let me know! --Fang Aili talk 15:24, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I think you already understand this bit! I just happened to click on Image:Trestle 7.jpg, which is missing the {{GFDL-self}} tag (unlike your other pictures, which are already tagged). So feel free to add the tag if you wish to use GFDL again. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 15:26, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
