Rollback (add request)

Hope now u can accept my request! I think now i am able to take on vandalism ...Regards! roh. (talk) 16:24, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) It will up to the Admin to decide what changes have occurred in 25hrs. since your last request. I do have a question though about this warning [1], actually two questions 1). Why did this IP's edit warrant a level 4im warning for the first warning ? 2). Could you please show the diff of the edit it pertained to. Thank you. Mlpearc powwow 19:11, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. Another admin declined your request 25 hrs. ago; it's really inappropriate to request rollback again so soon thereafter; please, take a couple of weeks, revert vandalism and, then, come back and request the flag again. Salvio Let's talk about it! 19:34, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This was readding removed content, as your uw-4im stated? --The Σ talkcontribs 06:24, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) From the edits based on the link that you added, yes. CHAK 001 (talk) 23:09, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) Looks more like a net negative to me. --The Σ talkcontribs 20:02, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I frequently patrol Recent Changes, and would like to be able to use rollback to make it faster for me to revert clear cases of vandalism. Currently I am using Twinkle, which works fine, but it is slow, because I have to open up the diff page to get to it. Mesoderm (talk) 06:11, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) In any case, you're going to have to open the diff to check if it's vandalism or not. --The Σ talkcontribs 06:22, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but I use the Navigation Popups gadget, which lets me view the diff in a popup from the Recent Changes page, without opening the actual diff page. So I can check the diff using the popup, and then click rollback next to the listing in Recent Changes (at least according to what the description looks like at WP:Rollback feature). To get to Twinkle rollback, I actually have to open up the diff page though. ~ Mesoderm (talk) 06:30, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) Popups has a revert button. --The Σ talkcontribs 06:46, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks :) -- I had never noticed that before. ~ Mesoderm (talk) 06:51, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have used Twinkle on recent changes for some time now and I think I am ready for rollback. Island Monkey talk the talk 18:12, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to have this feature added to my account to help protect against vandalism of articles, specifically articles that relate to Dunfermline and it's surrounding area. Aaron McHale (talk) 23:58, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) You have little to no recent experience reverting vandalism here on Wikipedia. I suggest using Twinkle, get 50 or so reverts so an Admin can judge your decisions on such edits, then come back and re-apply.
Mlpearc powwow 00:16, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I will do that. --Aaron McHale (talk) 01:19, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not done for the time being, please reapply when you have a bit more experience. Pedro :  Chat  14:16, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have recently been doing quite a bit of editing on my phone. Rollback would be nicer than waiting for my phone to load the edit page when items on my watchlist are vandalized. Thanks for your consideration. Cliff (talk) 05:39, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Question: What are your views on warning vandals after reverting their edit(s) ? Also is it ever OK to issue a level 2 or 3 warning for a first time vandal ? Mlpearc powwow 06:56, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done The reverts I saw were okay, including a willingness to revert themselves sometimes too. Acalamari 16:16, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
@ Acalamari, I would of liked to have seen an answer to my question first. Mlpearc powwow 16:56, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I want to be able to use Huggle. FokkerTISM 08:32, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done per tenure and recent activity. Hisotrical block noted but not relevant. Pedro :  Chat  14:22, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am a recent changes patroller using Twinkle. This feature would enable me to revert vandalism quickly.   Abhishek   Talk to me 09:58, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Toddst1 recently removed rollback from your account, due to misuse. Have you talked to Toddst? If I were to grant you this flag back, how do you plan to use it?
He seems to be not quite active. I have learnt a lesson (though the removal was during a mistake I had not realised). I would use it with utmost precaution and to only revert vandalism.   Abhishek   Talk to me 11:13, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've left a message on his talk page. I'd rather give him some time to respond, if he so wishes. Salvio Let's talk about it! 11:24, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: Abhishek continues to have a strong tendency to edit war. See recent discussion related to TW and further warnings on Abhishek's talk page circa June 2. S/he also remains on the blacklist for WP:TW for the same problem. Toddst1 (talk) 13:28, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your defaming words against me.   Abhishek   Talk to me 15:02, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Is that a legal threat? Reaper Eternal (talk) 12:42, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'd say it's venting; still a violation, however. Salvio Let's talk about it! 01:30, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm staying out of this one. Mlpearc powwow 01:33, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to have the rollback feature enabled as it would help me to combat vandalism. My contributions show that I have taken an active interest in removing vandalism and warning users where necessary. Reichsfürst (talk) 12:09, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) To patrolling Admin, didn't have time to go through all this editors "tribs but, something seems odd, looks like most reverts are on the same page ? or it's a very busy page maybe this editor should conciser going to WP:RPP also. Also I did happen across this "double" speedy notification [2] . Seems Reichsfürst might need to slow down a bit. I apologize if I have misinterpreted my glance. Mlpearc powwow 13:16, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not all my edits have been to a single page but this morning I made a large number to one which was undergoing significant vandalism (where rollback would have helped) before it was protected. The reason for the double speedy was that there was an edit conflict and the template didn't place but the case was opened and I accidentally did it a second time to place the template. Reichsfürst (talk) 14:57, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Seems logical. Cheers. Mlpearc powwow 15:51, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to be granted rollback privileges on the English Wikipedia. I believe vandalism is something that is undoubtedly pointless and trivial. I have been using Twinkle and have successfully reverted vandalism and reported a number of users. Before I used Twinkle, I used the standard "undo" feature to remove vandalism when I spot it. I have made about 250 edits in the article namespace now; I request the privilege because I wish to, quickly and easily, remove vandalism. I believe I have garnered enough experience to be granted the privilege. Bryce53 | talk 05:31, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done Edit history looks good, plenty of experience reverting vandalism, clean block log, no evidence of edit warring. Keep in mind that rollback is for vandalism fighting only.--v/r - TP 14:22, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've been enjoying doing patrol for vandalism on recent changes using Twinkle and Lupin's anti vandal tool (it is tons of fun!) and I think I am ready for rollback. I, Jethrobot drop me a line 07:19, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done I see plenty of experience in new page patrol, a clean block log, and no evidence of edit warring. Keep in mind that rollback is for vandalism only.--v/r - TP 14:17, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I'd like to request rollback privileges on this project to help fight vandalism. I'm used to this function as a sysop on nl.wiki. A week ago, I joined the Small Wiki Monitoring Team and also started fighting vandalism here (with Twinkle). I believe I'm doing a good job and I hope that I have enough experience to be granted the rollback bit on this project. :) Yours sincerely, Mathonius (talk) 19:09, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
 Done Salvio Let's talk about it! 01:27, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have used Twinkle as a "real practice", and now I think I am ready for the proper tool. --J (t) 12:57, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Can you explain why you felt this edit was vandalism? It appears to be a good faith edit in userspace that broke a table. Likily the user themselves who forgot to login.--v/r - TP 16:32, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. You have little to no recent experience fighting real vandalism here on Wikipedia. If you want the rollback tool, show us that you need it! Go to Special:RecentChanges and make 50 or so proper vandalism reverts. Once you have done that, come back and request the tool again. -FASTILY (TALK) 20:50, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
