[edit] Single information

The single was released on November 15, 1993 only in Australia, New Zealand, Germany and Japan, during the Australian leg of her Girlie Show Tour. Madonna also performed "Bye Bye Baby" live at the MTV Video Music Awards in September 1993.

The photograph on the sleeve of "Bye Bye Baby" was shot by American fashion photographer Herb Ritts.

[edit] Music video

There was no music video made for this song, instead live performances from The Girlie Show and the MTV Video Music Awards were used as videos. Mark Miceli recorded the live performance of "Bye Bye Baby" at the Girlie Show in Australia. The performance was all about cabaret-style gender-bending, as Madonna, Niki and Donna appeared on stage in black suits and top hats. Carrie Ann Inaba appears as one of the buzzed-head, corseted dancers.
