In astrology, the kite is a special type of astrological configuration involving two geometrical connections (grand trine and sextile) between planets. In the normal grand trine configuration, three planets or other celestial bodies are equally spaced across the horoscope 120 degrees apart, thereby making three trines that form one configuration of an equilateral triangle on the chart. In the kite aspect, a fourth planet is involved, which forms an opposition to one of the planets involved in the grand trine. In addition to opposing the one planet, it will form a sextile to the other two planets in the grand trine.
Some astrologers believe that a person has a kite in their chart is more likely to be successful in their endeavours because the opposition will give them the push to go out and conquer obstacles, and the sextiles will give them a little bit more harmony after achieving goals.
