Sahnidih is a census town in Dhanbad district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

As of 2001[update] India census[1], Sahnidih had a population of 5,802. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Sahnidih has an average literacy rate of 61%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 71%, and female literacy is 49%. In Sahnidih, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
