Steve Coy (born Steven Coy, 15 March 1962) is an English singer-songwriter, percussionist and composer. In 1982 he joined the band Dead or Alive, which was fronted by his friend Pete Burns.[1] Currently Burns and Coy are the only remaining members of the band.[2] According to the official Dead Or Alive website, "His creativity in the studio and successful managing of the group's business affairs has strengthened DOA's independence to a degree that their contemporaries can only envy".[3] He has also performed and wrote songs for bands and solo artists such as The Mission (which is fronted by his former Dead or Alive co-member Wayne Hussey), Tubeway Army, The Cure, Gary Numan, Adam Ant, Ponderosa Glee Boys[4], Echo & the Bunnymen, The Cult, The Stranglers, Howard Jones and several others.
