Please improve me[edit]

This article needs some work and some cleanup. Please forgive me, but I've been working on it for hours on my Johnny Western sandbox and am getting worn out. It's a lot of work creating an article! I plan to return here later, but feel free to make edits and improvements in the meantime! Wakedream (talk) 23:58, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We've had some good help--thanks! Wakedream (talk) 18:59, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bonanza theme lyrics[edit]

An anonymous editor added information saying Johnny Western wrote the lyrics to the theme from Bonanza. I've watched the show many times, and never heard any lyrics. However, I did recently see a reference that Bonanza star Lorne Green had released a version of the theme that did have lyrics. Does anyone have a source saying these were written by Johnny Western? Reply: Only Johnny himself. I worked with him for 14 years at KFDI. You must have missed the early episode where Ben and his 3 sons are shown singing the theme song. Signed, anonymous editor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.190.238.4 (talk) 21:25, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Reply: Actually, Johnny Western co-wrote a version of the theme song with Johnny Cash which appeared on Cash's Ring of Fire album. Lorne Greene recorded and released a different version after that on record but I believe the actual lyrical version used for the show was that by Western and Cash. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.215.119.188 (talk) 14:35, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Needs a Personal Life section[edit]

This article would be improved with a Personal Life section, that had details on Mr. Western's life after his Early LifeLentower (talk) 12:46, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
