Unnamed section[edit]

Why is wikipedia fusing the Pokemon Pages together? Whats next, Pokemon's anime page fused with the article on japan? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kevin mills (talkcontribs).

No, that's not happening, the article of Japan is big already. And the pokémon anime does have useful, citable info, so don't worry about that. Most pokémon however do not, that's why they are being merged, see WT:PCP for more details. TheBlazikenMaster 00:47, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The separate Pokémon articles had useful information that is missing from this article. For example the Furret article had information about how the English and the Japanese names were formed. Should it be copied from the history page of the original article and put on this one?--Tai Ferret 20:24, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Basic information, nothing pertaining to gameplay information, which would be better suited for Bulbapedia. (Though you can move the game info over there. Just make sure it's not a direct copy paste; word things differently and such.) -WarthogDemon 20:28, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The name origin is original research, sorry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheBlazikenMaster (talkcontribs)
Not how they're spelled though. That's what I meant. -WarthogDemon 22:00, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pichu[edit]

I think Pichu needs his own article. He is more important than many ledgendaries as he has more roles and has appeared in many other non-Pokemon games such as Super Smash Bros. Melee. The Pichu Bros. have a strong role in the Pokemon anime. Something should be done.Peachrules14 01:33, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Talk about it on the main Wikiproject page. I'm not sure if that'd be enough to let it keep its own article, but probably worth asking. -WarthogDemon 01:34, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of fair-use images from List of Pokémon series[edit]

A discussion on the recent removal of fair-use images from this series of articles has been posted at the WikiProject Pokémon talk page. Morgan695 23:47, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just a random comment: It is odd that the use of the Pokemon names (which are all copyrighted) is allowed, but that the attitude toward copyrighted images (which are just as much an identification as the names) is entirely different. This cognitive dissonance won't last forever. I wouldn't be surprised if sometime in the future someone decides that talking about copyrighted things is unacceptable in an encyclopedia created under a CC license. I give it 5 years or so until the idea gains traction, maybe less. Esn (talk) 06:21, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Togepi[edit]

In the Togepi article, it says Togepi was the first 2nd generation pokemon to appear in the anime, but this is wrong. Ho-oh appears in the first episode, so Togepi is actually the second.

True, but Togepi is actually the first one to be seen as a character. So I changed the sentence. TheBlazikenMaster 13:39, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unknown?[edit]

On Pichu's section it says it is unknown why he isn't in brawl, but a lot of people agree it is becasue he is a fairly unpopular pokemon who was identical to pikachu except he hurt himself whenever he attacked. Now, Mewtwo was unfairly removed (My opinion on that, not a fact), but Pichu had a good (widely excepted) reason. I think we should remove the "It is unknown why pichu ain't in SSBB".71.212.88.85 (talk) 03:33, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What "a lot of people agree on" isn't unverifiable fact. It's opinionated, and inadmissible according to Wikipedian policy. I'd suggest removing the fact that the character isn't in Brawl from the article entirely instead, a la the way Mewtwo has been handled (most of the time). MelicansMatkin (talk) 04:51, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I can't agree more. Let's remove it. TheBlazikenMaster (talk) 14:01, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Togetic/Riolu/Movie 11/VANDALS[edit]

Togetic and Riolu, partners? Outside of a Mystery Dungeon Game? In the Giratina movie, of all places? Really, I never would have guessed...yeah right. It's funny, how pathetic these vandals are. They have nothing better to do than add misinformation on Wikipedia? Come on! Togetic and Riolu have only one thing in common: their evolved forms both learn Aura Sphere. I will make this vaguely defined and fake fact disappear as soon as I finish writing this rant. 2D Backfire Master (talk) 12:09, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About sudowoodo.[edit]

Is sudowoodo a pokemon created by Ken Sugimori? Many people say yes, and many say no. I am confused on this, and since you seem to be entirely knowledgeable on the subject of pokemon, I humbly ask for your guidanceGokuBeatsAll (talk) 22:24, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It is highly possible that it was designed by him to some extent. I know that for later generations, he oversaw other people designing them. I am not sure who exactly designed Pokemon back in Generation 2 days. I am not sure if there is a source out there that says who did it. There may be, but I can't recall any. Orphaned references in List of Pokémon (152–201)[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of Pokémon (152–201)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 00:41, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
