– Only two articles on Wikipedia titled Magneto currently refer to a character: this one and Magneto (film character). The other articles listed at the dab page were AfDed/redirected for not meeting WP:N and hence don't require disambiguation. Since the film character is essentially the live-action adaptation of the Marvel Comics character, this page should occupy the primary qualifier. Magneto (X-Men film series) is more precise and in line with how other franchises disambiguate their live-action adaptations against the comic original (Tony Stark (Marvel Cinematic Universe), Diana Prince (DC Extended Universe)). As noted in the move rationale, none of those other characters actually have articles on Wikipedia and do not come close to being the primary topic for the character. Oppose move to Magneto (character). If all the topics named "Magneto" were fictional characters, then I would agree with all the arguments by the nominator and support a move to Magneto. However, that's not the case, so if we have to disambiguate anyway we have little to gain by using a still ambiguous title. It's not relevant any more that the film character is an adaption of the one in the comics (what matters is that it's an article that readers will search for), and it's not particularly important that the other characters aren't notable enough to have stand-alone articles (as long as they're noteworthy enough for the encyclopedia to have content about them and for the dab page to provide navigation to that content). As for the second proposed move, I don't have a strong opinion but it looks sensible. – Uanfala (talk) 15:16, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
