November 2018[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Toronto Eaton Centre, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Punctuation goes after ref, not before. Information icon Hello, I'm EvergreenFir. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of 6teen episodes, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. February 2019[edit]

Regarding your reversion on the Frank Drake article. It is unnecessary to insert "US" in the the information box, as Frank's citizenship is mentioned directly under his birth city and placing "US" is overlinking - see WP:OVERLINK. My reversion is to keep the same style as other SETI Institute personnel, such as Seth Shostak. Regards, David J Johnson (talk) 11:16, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

June 2019[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Fantastic Voyage (Coolio song) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Fantastic Voyage (Coolio song) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (https://www.discogs.com/Coolio-Fantastic-Voyage/master/100528) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. National varieties of English[edit]

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Year 2000 problem, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. The article is written in "International" English Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:14, 25 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm XLinkBot. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to BeingGirl have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links.
Your edit here to BeingGirl was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/user/beinggirl) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. music or video) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
I see now what you were trying to accomplish. It wasn't apparent why the section link was removed, which is why I reverted. This is one of the reasons why it's worthwhile to use edit summaries, so your intentions are clear.

I added a set of "anchors" to that section on Turbo-Hydramatic to make it easier to link to it in the future. Rather than have to type out that entire section heading, simply linking to "#700R4" or "#4L60" or so forth will direct there properly even if the heading is changed. --Sable232 (talk) 03:35, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
