Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Caldorwards4! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 6 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 944 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Hello Caldorwards4, are you the author (i.e. you took the photos with a camera) of these two images: File:Sears store.jpg, File:SearsGrand exterior lo.jpg? Thanks, Blurpeace 01:18, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

I didn't and I've forgotten I've uploaded these (it was in 2006) so I must of placed the wrong template on it. It can be deleted if it needs to be. --Caldorwards4 (talk) 01:29, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Kmart.gif)

Thanks for uploading File:Kmart.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Kivi abc6 boise.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Kivi abc6 boise.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:57, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Lyric Street

While the article does mention that, I don't see how the current singles from Bucky Covington and Tyler Dickerson (or their following albums, for that matter) will continue to be released if they aren't on a label. Lyric Street is closing and transferring only Rascal Flatts to a new home, nothing is mentioned on where the other acts are going, so its likely they aren't being salvaged. Nickelodeon preschool block

Apparently at some point a week ago, you had edited the portion of the heading that references Nickelodeon's target audiences had one part changed from reading "weekday morning Nick Play Date block" to "weekday morning programming"; I did notice that another Wikipedia editor changed the heading on the preschool block from "Nick Play Date" to "Preschool programming block". So I'm confused, did Nickelodeon drop the "Play Date" name from its preschool block (therefore making it much like the Saturday evening block with no name, when a name was used previously), and can you find any sources that suggest such? I should add that the confusion also comes from that in the "Preschool programming block" section under "Program blocks" that it says that the block was named "Nick Play Date from 2009 onward" instead of "...from 2009 to 2010." (Tvtonightokc (talk) 06:05, 18 April 2010 (UTC))

In the Doug article you removed "KBEH and KMOH-TV (re-runs, September 2007-present) (as a E/I program)" saying "rm dubious entrys" but if you look at reference 3 you will see that Doug has been airing on KBEH and KMOH-TV since September 2007 and is still airing on KBEH and KMOH as of present day. Next time you are going to remove info from an article, please look at the references first to see if the info is sourced. Thank you. Powergate92Talk 21:28, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Trisha Yearwood

Question: How do you know Trisha Yearwood left Big Machine records? I looked on the Big Machine website, and her name is till up there for people under the record label. I'm really confused lol. Dottiewest1fan (talk) 15:05, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

I didn't see that section. I only saw the artists on the front page which she wasn't listed in. Thanks for pointing that out. --Caldorwards4 (talk) 16:45, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
No problem. I just wanted to clarify any confusion. She probably isn't listed in any articles on the front page because she's not active right now in terms of performing. But yeah, she's still under Big Machine, just no new albums yet, that's why she's not in the headlines probably. =) Dottiewest1fan (talk) 20:23, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Calmer Waters 09:16, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism to the Cher articles

Hi, I just wanted to mention IP user 190.188.250.98 who has been going around the Cher related articles, changing chart positions and sales figures so that they are incorrect. I notice that you've already reverted a few of this user's edits in recent days, so I just thought that I should alert you to the extent of this user's disruption. I've just spent the last half an hour (at least) reverting all the destructive and disruptive edits that this user has made over the past days (see here for a list). This kind of thing is very annoying and a waste of everyone's time but I believe that this user will be back for more vandalism.

I also believe that this user is the same person as IP User 71.15.43.155, who's been doing the exact same type of vandalism to Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton and other country related articles recently. They've also been adding sales figure tables to these articles, which at best are completely un-sourced, and therefore suspect, and at worst, outright fabrications and therefore vandalism. I've also spent time today reverting this vandalism (see the list here). Anyway, as long as we’re both aware of it, hopefully we can quickly revert any further vandalism that this person undertakes. Many thanks. --Kohoutek1138 (talk) 13:19, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Concerns.

Okay, so, first of all, if you don't think these belong there, bring up a discussion, as I said in my revert; second of all, please read up on WP:VANDAL before marking my edit / edits as vandalism, which you did here. - Donald Duck (talk) 06:51, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Albums & EPs

I have an idea of merging the album section and the EP section into one. Reasons are:

  1. Albums and EPs are both collection of tracks
  2. EPs appear in all Billboard album charts.
  3. If bonus tracks are included in an EP, is it still an EP? (e.g. 1 or 2 bonus tracks added to a 8-track EP; see The Fame Monster.)

It is a new idea and it hasn't been use anywhere yet. Please do not included this as a reason. An example can be seen here. Please add responses here. Thank you. Langdon (talk) 20:30, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Uhjn gfhjmkuuij gdhgdjr, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Can you explain under whose authorization you and your group have determined that chart history is not correct? Additionaly, why are you only picking and choosing whose history you remove? I have checked a number of Cdn acts histories, some still remain and are current, yet others have been removed as far back as mid-2000. Please advise.Snowback22 15:00, 7 September 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Snowback22 (talkcontribs)

I changed back to the correct chart history. I read the discussion you and your fellow posters have had and it doesn't make sense. These charts are valid, they can be documented whether via books, magazines, online or via the artits themselves.

You and your group are also not explaining in individual pages why the chart history has been removed. I note on some pages you use an asterisk ( * ) with no explanation as you have done on Chris' pages, while on other pages you use a dash( - ) and have at the bottom of the page the dash - indicates the song did not chart. In this example I will direct you to Carolyn Dawn Johnson's page, she has all dashes on her chart except for one song listed as charting at 98. You and your group are cleary incorrect in this!!

I also note that you have not removed the chart history of many US acts whose pages you have edited in the past couple days, i.e.: Reba McIntyre.

I also note you are removing chart history of only certain artists, not all Canadian artists. You cannot pick and choose whose history you will mess with. You are affecting these artists negatively and potentially costing them work, especially acts that do not have a website of their own.

I have personally checked with various radio station program directors and booking agents to ask if they refer to Wikipedia to reference artst's bio and history and they do. By removing the artists history and/or making it incorrect by stating songs did not chart, then you are diminishing the artists history and accomplishments.

Please refer to the TRAX report, the former magazine "The Record" or pay for a subscription to BDS Neilsen if you are this interested in chart history in Canada. Alternately, why not contact someone who does a chart such as Casey Clark, perhaps he can give you resources you are not aware of, as I have with the TRAX chart which has never been mentioned in your conversations with your fellow posters.

Victoria Banks Wiki Page

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Banks Hi after her Female Vocalist win at the CCMA Awards I felt it worth improving her page. Appreciate you looking it over. You say Singles are only important. As a music fan I thought it would be informative to others to show tracks recorded by other artists whteher they be singles or not. You have also deleted ALL the chart positions in the tables I created showing US Billboard, Canadian Top 100 and CanCountry charts. Most were verifiable on Victoria's website and by the links provided to other artists wiki pages. Surely US Billboard positions count? In your edit you say " singles only please and no Canadian country peaks they are not notable" Before I started changing the page I used these Canadian artists as a benchmark http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Reid http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_More_Girl http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doc_Walker They all show Canadian Charts postions both CanCountry and Canadian Top 100. So do those not count either? I'm confused . I do agree with you I could not verify the Canadian BDS peaks and accept their deletion but not the others? 95.147.117.251 (talk) 19:41, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
