You probably couldn't get them to release it for use on Wikipedia, as that would require them to license the image as free to use outside of Wikipedia itself, and I'm sure Frequency TV would prefer to retain commercial copyright on their logo. Keith R. Briffa article deletion
Hi! The Climate Realists blog (http://climaterealists.com/index.php?id=5395) is reporting that the Wikipedia article on climate scientist Keith R. Briffa was deleted for nefarious, cover-up type reasons. If I'm reading it right, you are listed as the administrator who did a speedy delete on the article, although that isn't showing up in your log. By "for educational purposes with my consent", do you mean it specifically can't be used for anything but educational purposes, and that it can't be used without your consent? Because these requirements are pushing the definition of "free". For an image to be defined as free on Wikipedia, it should be permitted to be used and modified in any form, including commercial use. You recent deleted "Template talk:Infobox pigeon breed/doc" and similar pages as "Speedy deleted per CSD G8, redirect to a deleted or non-existent page". It's my understanding that it's permissible to redirect talk pages of /doc pages to the relevant main talk page, even if non-existent, to prevent future discussion from becoming fragmented. I've always found creating broken redirects as analogous to putting your furniture next to the curb. That actually happened on another article I contributed to, and although the wording ended up different than I would have done, I'm happy because what the other person posted was better than what I had.

What I am pointing out is that the other people were destructive with their reversions. And they were not using the discussion page. I DID use the discussion page and urged others to do so too. Most people didn't even try to put in an argument saying why they thought I was wrong. I was the constructive one, yet I was the one blocked. Sandstein ignored that reality, and blocked me. Not only from the article, but even from discussion pages and at least some talk pages! I can't possibly fight the powers of wikipedia --- and have no interest in doing that --- but at least Sandstein's unfairness was here for people to see. Vandal alert
I don't know if you can block ranges, but can you block the 114.59.0.0/16 range? It is used by a long term IP-hopping Indonesia vandal who delibrately inserts misinformation by ridiculously connecting CBS, Digimon, and Resident Evil articles without any source to back up his claims. The range was blocked before, but after the block expired, the vandal began doing his modus operandi again by using the following addresses in just the past two days:

Possible autoblock problem
Thanks for responding to the problem I occured. When I tried to edit a page today, I found that I has been blocked. The block was given on 2 April 2010 and already expired, and I success to edit at a page. However, two hours later, I could not edit any pages, stating I have been blocked again - but the block was given on 2 April 2010. Then I have a big question mark there. I understand wikipedia's editors have made large efforts to keep deceitful claims off wikipedia.
I understand that someone could have posted citation needed after material supect of being deceitful material.

i too reached the fossi page from Google after a Google saerch for 'warez fossi nostalgia history' only to find it was deleted. i wanted to prove a point to a friend about fossi being an important part of the history of warez.
i think the deletion was wrong, this piece of history deserves to be noted in Wikipedia.

A couple of weeks ago you deleted a page called Duffys Constant with the remark "Blantant Hoax" This was not a hoax and was a actually a useful scientific constant. Couple of points:
Unless you have reliable sources that indicate that "Duffy's constant" is not made-up, the article will not be re-created;
I recently tried to create a Wikipedia page for Pocket Gamer, but you rejected it. I was hoping you could tell me why.
My arguments in favour of having a page on Wikipedia are
a) that Pocket Gamer is referenced in hundreds of other articles on Wikipedia (a search yields 4549 results, though not all refer to Pocket Gamer), many of them with incorrect links to an old entry for the long-defunct Pocket Gamer magazine (e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob's_Game).
b) that dozens of other comparable video game blogs have Wikipedia entries, including Kotaku, Joystiq, Destructoid, and so on. Each of these sites has referenced stories by Pocket Gamer on numerous occasions, just as Pocket Gamer has referenced many of theirs. On this basis, I find it difficult to understand why Pocket Gamer is being singled out as ineligible.

Why did you delete the Wikipedia article on the Kirkstall Valley Campaign?
I have not read these pages - perhaps they were inaccurate, however:
1) This organisation certainly existed and I was a Director.
2) There is an comprehensive documentary record of the Campaign's activities.
3) It brought a significant action in the UK High Court, which is still discussed to in legal circles.
4) It was defeated as a direct result of a false or misleading statement from the UK Treasury Solicitor.
5) The history of the Kirkstall Valley Campaign has great relevance for community groups who challenge established authority.
It would be helpful if you could undelete these pages so that I can read them and discuss their contents with you.

Hi, I'm a new member, but I've been editing Wikipedia for probably years - mostly grammar and minor details that needed to be fixed up. I recently came across a musical group that has no English Wikipedia article, but does have a rather inadequate Simple English article (update: that article was deleted yesterday). The English article has been speedy deleted five times; thrice under A7, once under each A9 and G10. I want to create an article that won't get speedy deleted, so I have a couple of external links, I can compile a discography, and a paragraph or two of information about 009 Sound System and Alexander Perls' work in other groups.
