Image request

Could you create an map for the Polish-French relations and other pages in the {{Polish foreign relations}}? Thanks! PS. You may also want to check out the Wikipedia:WikiProject Maps. Also, consider moving and uploading your future maps to Wikimedia Commons (they have great categories for maps).-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  11:12, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Sure, I'll make those images, I've already made the one you specified (France). Just give me a bit of time to make and upload them. Thanks! - DWR (Dancingwombatsrule).
Tnx. Two tips: Wikipedia uses bottomposting, so leave new comments/messages at the bottom of discussion pages, and sign your post with the sign button (or --~~~~) - this will produce a direct link back to your page, and a timestamp.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  13:51, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Ireland United Kingdom Locator.png. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Image-Ireland United Kingdom Locator.png. The copy called Image:Image-Ireland United Kingdom Locator.png has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot (talk) 17:59, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

This doesn't really belong on the deletion descussion, so I'm contacting you here. I completely reworked the upper right-hand corner, and I reduced the width of the lions. I think all of the "stretchyness" is gone. Let me know what you think. -- I. Pankonin (t/c) 09:27, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

That's a vast improvement on the image however the lions could do with soem improvement (however that could probably wait for another day). Really Good Work! -- Dancingwombatsrule 17:54, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Thank you for reverting the vandalism! --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 00:49, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Please do not selectvely remove userboxes from the userbox collection

This user opposes the stereotype of hostility between Western civilization and others.

Your removal of the No pro West ideology user box is inapproiate and an act of vandelism Please stop it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kurtdaydo (talkcontribs)

I have not removed your userbox (which I would like to point out only one other user apart from you uses) from the userbox page. I have merely removed it from two unnescary categories that didn't describe the userbox (Democracy, representation and voting, Ukraine). I meant to leave it in the Ideology category. However I accidently deleted from there as well. I apologise, however I don't think there's any need to write that sort of rubbish about "inapproiate and an act of vandelism", (which btw is spelt vandalism).
If you want further proof, then another user removed the userbox from the category after you re-added it. [1]
Thank you and have a nice day. DWRtalk 17:10, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

NOT True and it takes time before people use the box and understand the issue. I suggest you use the Discussio page o teh politcial userboxes before you vandelise and remove content. Userbox

im a bit new to wikipedia and i would really like to know how userboxs work. just give me a simple short and understandible explanation please and that is all i ask for- thank you very much for your time —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bezuidenhout (talkcontribs) 17:45, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi Bezuidenhout (nice name!), first of all and welcome to wikipedia!
Right userboxes are small usually quite colourful boxes you can display on your usepage. They come in lots of different styles and reflect your views, opinions, beliefs etc. they can also tell other users some details about yourself.
So for example:
On my userpage I say that I am male, I like a tv programe called The Big Bang Theory and I am British and I don't trust the European Union (in no particular order), so I have put the following on my userpage:
♂This user is male.
This user wants a Fish Nightlight like Sheldon's from The Big Bang Theory.
This user is proud to be British.
This user trusts the EU about as far as they can throw it.
But you can put whatever userboxes you'd like. Hint: browse through a few of these categories to see what ones' you would want.
Hope that clears it up. If you have any more questions feel free to ask me at my user talk page.
Oh and also try to sign your posts with the sign button (or --~~~~) - this will produce a direct link back to your page, and the date and time you posted the comment.--DWRtalk 19:37, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

List of Gibraltar flags

1. Hello and welcome

2. I see you have moved this from the correct title to one using a nonsense word which is not in use in Gibraltar. Please review the discussion page and please do not rename Gibraltar pages. --Gibnews (talk) 14:38, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Hello. Sorry I didn't reply to your comment sooner, but I didn't see it for a while under all the signpost updates. Please don't try and patronise me. I don't need to be welcomed now, as I've been editing since June, particually by someone who is featured so much on the Administrators Notice Board. The discussion, as you've probably seen is closed and the article's name has been changed to List of flags of Gibraltar, which is the most neutral name and makes the most sense for people who don't live in GIBRALTAR. We're on the English speaking Wikipedia, not the People who live in Gibraltar Wikipedia. Throughout this whole fiasco there's been a lot of confusion and to be honest as for your claim that Gibraltan is a "nonsense word", I've found no proof whatsoever and I've found more proof that it does exist. Can you now please try and draw a line under this now? Thank you and have a nice day. --DWRtalk 23:02, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
I am not trying to patronise you, but suggest you take off the text asking people to welcome you if you find it necessary to be rude about anyone who does so in good faith. The word Gibraltan remains very bad use of English. Goodnight. --Gibnews (talk) 00:28, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey Jaret and welcome to Wikipedia! I didn't originally upload that image you are talking about. I copied it from another image on Wikipedia uploaded in a jpg format, which made it very hard to see it. I've googled it and there seems to be a lot of info on this site. I don't pretend to be an expert about the Miskito, I meerly copied the image. Yours, DWRtalk 20:55, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
