[edit]

Hello DuoDeathscyther 02! My name is Eric, and it is my pleasure to be the first to welcome you to Wikipedia! I hope you will decide to stay a long time and help us continue to make this one of the greatest sites on the world wide web. Here are a few useful links for you to explore:

In addition to that great wealth of knowledge, let me offer you this advice: do what you enjoy! If you enjoy contributing to sports articles, do so! If you like to correct typoes (...), write new articles, find better ways to organize articles, make useful templates, work on projects with others, or even welcome new members, do so! A happy member of our community is a productive member of our community. You can read all of the above links to the last word, or you can jump right into editing. Be bold!

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have the need to sign a page without the time and date, you can use three tildes (~~~). If you have any questions that aren't easily found with the above links, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question. Once again, welcome to Wikipedia and enjoy!

P.S.- If you'd like to introduce yourself to the community and perhaps get a question or two answered in the process, drop us a line at the new user log.

Doctor Who pinball game

[edit]

Hi, DD. Thanks for adding information about the Doctor Who pinball game to Doctor Who. One very minor style issue, though — there's no need to put the names of the designers in bold. Names should be left in plain text unless the person is worthy of having a Wikipedia page of their own, in which case you should link the name. You'll notice that there aren't any other names in bold in the Doctor Who article, nor in most other Wikipedia articles. That's why I removed the bolding before — it goes against the Manual of Style. Nothing personal! Thanks again for adding the information. —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 01:56, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I only mentioned it so that we wouldn't get into a revert war over something so trivial. Again, thanks for adding the info and the image. —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 05:11, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Logo-nwo03.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo-nwo03.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Image legality questions. 20:07, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

TM! articles ~~

[edit]

I've been hammerin' out profiles and information on Okuda's manga over the last couple of days when I get a spot of free time (SLEEP NWAO <_>), so keep this and mind when I ask, but - do you think more "major" character pages should be created, or that barebones articles and profiles (for instance, Dr. Clay) should be expanded first? I'm reposting this with several editors as Tenchi Muyo! discussion doesn't get that much traffic.

Feedback and a soft pillow would be appreciated. Papacha 19:49, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Tenchimayuka.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tenchimayuka.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. User:Angr 15:37, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New Pretty Sammy Update

[edit]

Though I understand what you are doing of giving the Magical Project S details however the only problem I have has to do with the Template picture and since the picture on the Pretty Sammy page is the picture of Vol. 1 for the Magical Project S DVD I am thinking of moving it to the Magical Project S page and if you can could you try to get a replacement picture for the Pretty Sammy page that would represent the OVA's. -Adv193 06:29, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay but one other issue is that the Pretty Sammy page hasn't been completly swept of Magical Project S info yet. I'll try to get to it if I can but if you have the change then I appriciate it. -Adv193 16:20, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The only things that are left to deal with are modifiying the Overviews summary a little bit and moving the voice cast to the appropriate summmaries, I already handled modifying the minor characters list with adding the new link last night. I'll work on handling the voice cast first and focus it on the minor characters so you can work on the Overview if you want. -Adv193 16:35, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the Magical Project S links for the Characters, Music, and Episodes on the Pretty Sammy because I don't think it will be neccessary as the Magical Project S page doesn't have those links, however I did add the page to the Tenchi Muyo! Character Template In the same section and style as the Pretty Sammy. This should wrap things up for about now okay. -Adv193 20:59, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SegaRally / SR2

[edit]

Though it's still unclear to me who indeed developed Sega Rally, I'm almost sure it was AM3 who developed SegaRally, as Tetsuya Mizuguchi is widely regarded as the producer for the first game (I believe he only served as advisor on the second one), and he never worked for AM5, only AM3, AM9/annex. Rhe br 04:21, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know Rosso is listed as the developers for Sega Rally in many different places, but I have a suspicion most of them are wrong... In fact, I even have an NextGen issue which lists Sega Rally under both AM5 and UGA (which basically formed from AMAnnex ashes, and AM3 consequently)
BTW, that S16.com page ALSO lists it under both studios, which leads me to believe they copied the information from NG's story. Rhe br 06:43, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gundam Wing

[edit]

Since I know that you have worked on the Gundam Wing pages I should let you know whats happening. User Shikai shaw has been merging various mobile suit articles that are similar, such as the Deathscythe Hell into the Deathscythe article, The Altron into the Shenlong article, The Mercurius into the Vayate article, as well as other merges to the Heavyarms, Eypon, Maganac and many others in not only the Gundam Wing articles both also in the Gundam X articles as well. One thing I can say about this that you should know is that there is no changes made to the article that was merged which is damaging the quality of the original article.

One of the other reasons why I decided to let you know is that before I noticed how big this was I re-edited both the Deathscythe and Shenlong page and worked on restoring the quality of those pages including seperating the details of the mobile suits from the History and expanding the History section to include History on the Deathscythe and the Shenlong. Since it is likely most or even all of the articles must be re-seperated, I wanted to let you know about my updates to the Deathscythe and Shenlong and they only require little work to re-edit back to normal should those articles be re-seperated.

Anyway I would like to hear your viewpoint before I proceed in this matter.

-Adv193 16:56, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I'll get right to work on it and after I'm done I'll post a message to Shikai shaw. If you want it would help if you can also post a message on Shikai shaw's talk page to deal with this debate. -Adv193 23:30, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On second thought I talk it out with Shikai shaw first and If you wish I'll appreciate your help. -Adv193 23:40, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work with taking care of the Fictional Japanese category from the Heero Yuy page. Just so you know I made sure to move over other Japanese Anime and Manga characters to that specific category including two other Gundam related characters, Mirai Yashima from Mobile Suit Gundam and Domon Kasshu from Mobile Fighter G Gundam two characters which I also seen as I had seen as I have the Dvds from both of those series. -Adv193 15:47, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message and I already knew about it and one thing that you should know that it isn't just Gundam Wing Mobile Suit articles that are being targeted since awhile back most of the Cosmic Era Mobile Suit articles had been deleted and now a few Universal Century Mobile Suit articles are also being brought towards deletion. So anyway I'll be helping with trying to counter these issues so the mobile suit articles can stay preserved even if they are cut down and merged together. -Adv193 02:02, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Tenchi Muyo! Voice actor page

[edit]

Hi, just so you know there was a recent Categories for Deletion (CFD) descion to have all actor categories turned into a list and the Tenchi Muyo! Voice Cast list was part of it. Right now I am working on creating the List of Tenchi Muyo! cast members page and I would like you to help if you can and to participate in the disscussion to perfect it. -Adv193 20:14, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anyway now that I have some free time I am going to be focusing my efforts on helping out the voice actor page again. Anyway after seeing your updates, I made some of my own in a similar fashion which will reflect with what I had in mind to handle English actors with multiple roles due to the fact it will have to be different for the English actors section. One thing that you should know about at least is that when I designed the section for the Japanese seiyuu I not only focused on alphabetizing the last names of the seiyuu, but I also put down specific episode for minor characters only. If you have any other ideas for any improvements or modifications then let me know. -Adv193 21:39, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Logo-sum95-97.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo-sum95-97.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Was reading your points, and as you'll maybe have noticed if you trawled through the massive argument I had with the other guy in the last couple of months, I share your thoughts on the reaction section. Some of the sources to me are just purely opinions of fans, general jabronis, and its insane that they're used if you ask me. Particularly that Online World of Wrestling one, have a look at it, its about as amateurish as they get. I think the section definitely needs trimmed, though obviously as part of a compromise it has to exist. --Simonski (talk) 22:25, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia policy allows us to link to legal streamed copies of albums. It would be useful to draw up a guideline on how and when to link to such albums; however, there is concern that it may not be appropriate as the music would not be available in all parts of the world. Is the benefit of having access to the music for most users outweighed by the fact that some users will follow a link to find the music is not playable in their region? Your view would be helpful at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums. SilkTork ✔Tea time 02:12, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175

[edit]

Dear DuoDeathscyther 02,

Greetings!

As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.

Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.

Thank you and maraming salamat po!

Kind regards,
