A tag has been placed on Syed Faizan Amjad requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —C.Fred (talk) 02:43, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm C.Fred. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Shae Gill have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. August 2023[edit]

Hello FaizannAmjad. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:FaizannAmjad. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=FaizannAmjad|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Fram (talk) 15:36, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Aptagon Technologies, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for advertising or promotion.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 15:39, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Bbb23
I understand that you are concerned that I may have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting the company, and that I have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements.
I want to assure you that I am not being compensated for my edits to the Aptagon Technologies article. I am a software engineer at Aptagon Technologies, and I created the article because I believe that the company is notable and deserves to have a Wikipedia page. I have not received any financial incentive to create the article, and I have not received any promises of future employment or compensation from Aptagon Technologies.
I understand that Wikipedia has strict policies against paid advocacy, and I apologize if my edits gave the impression that I was promoting Aptagon Technologies for financial gain. I have added a disclosure to my user page stating that I am an employee of Aptagon Technologies, and I will not edit the Aptagon Technologies article again until I have received confirmation that my disclosure is sufficient.
I would like to request that you restore my account and the Aptagon Technologies article. I believe that the article is well-written and meets Wikipedia's standards for notability. I am also willing to work with you to improve the article further.
Thank you. FaizannAmjad (talk) 16:30, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I did not block you for undisclosed paid editing but as a promotion-only account. In hindsight, I should have blocked you for both. First, you have not added anything to your userpage, let alone a disclosure. Second, you are the CEO of Aptagon. You may also be a software engineer, but to say you are just a software engineer is misleading and deceptive. I will not unblock you; nor do I believe any other administrator will.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:42, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have added a disclosure to my user page stating that I am the CEO of Aptagon Technologies. I apologize if my previous disclosure was not clear. I understand that Wikipedia has strict policies against promotion-only accounts, and I want to assure you that I am not using my account to promote Aptagon Technologies in any way. I am simply trying to create a Wikipedia page for the company because I believe it is notable and deserves to be included in the encyclopedia.
I would like to request that you reconsider your decision to block me. I believe that I am acting in good faith and that I am not violating any of Wikipedia's policies. I am also willing to work with you to improve the Aptagon Technologies article further. FaizannAmjad (talk) 16:47, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"Good faith"? There is nothing good faith about your conduct or your statements here. I repeat: your userpage is empty, it has always been empty. Yet, you continue to insist that you "have added a disclosure to my user page stating that I am the CEO of Aptagon". I suggest you advertise your company on some other website. One more misrepresentation here and I will revoke Talk page access.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:55, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
