Linebreak[edit]

Hi, In this edit I understand the change of managers but I do not understand why you changed my linebreaks? Please read WP:LINEBREAK that says that you should use use <br /> (or <br>).Please note that they use <br /> in their example code and that the other break will be translated to <br /> so there was no need for you to remove that. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Thank you. QED237 (talk) 22:45, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Imlikeaboss. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, 1998 Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi season, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. UBStalk 17:40, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and thank you for updating Template:2013–14 Football League Championship table. I just wanted to know that next time it would be could if you move the team-lines to make sure the teams are in the correct places and update helper template Template:2013–14 Football League Championship table/p. The information on how to do it i in the template documentation, and if you have any questions feel free to ask. QED237 (talk) 10:53, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Okay now are edits are getting purely disruptive. What about this edit? You upodate half the table and not the timestamp or change the positions of the teams. Please stop the disruptiive behaviour. QED237 (talk) 12:34, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Okay I understand (at least kind of). The problem with your partial edit is that is says "as of 12 March" when you on some teams have added matches after that and on some not. So we should not do partial edits. Perhaps you could have left page open to continue an other time or copy'n'paste to a document or something instead of saving a partial update. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Timestamp[edit]

Hi.

When you update statistics please remember that you should also update the timestamps as of when the stats are correct. This is done by manually updating the date above or below the statistics table. By doing this we show when the stats were last updated and it prevents other editors from accidentally updating the stats again.

Please keep this in mind. Thank you. Qed237 (talk) 00:48, 28 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Plot for the Iron Throne wording[edit]

Hi!

Regarding some of the changes you made to the summary of the The Iron Throne, some of the edits that you had modified were discussed and agreed on in discussion (such as "Unable to dissuade Daenerys, a conflicted Jon reaffirms his fealty to her and fatally stabs her as they kiss") and other edits were reverted when you first made them in July. But are there any issues you have with this phrasing?

Three issues I have include 1) the removal of detail that Daenerys had destroyed the city after it surrendered, which I think that is a key detail illustrating the type of situation characters are dealing with at this point. 2) The phrasing that Jon pretended to reaffirm his fealty. Because people have interpreted Jon's final words to her in a variety of ways (meaning them on a personal level, feigning loyalty, etc.) and it's not confirmed these words were meant as a pretense, I think it is best to stick to 'Jon reaffirms his fealty to[...]' to describe what was said on screen? I think the 'conflicted' wording is meant to pertain to the nature of the assassination, as the character is reluctant to do it and doesn't feel it was right later. 3) I think the wording 'their love' is a bit ambiguous in describing exactly whose love is being referred to if a reader is not familiar with the episode (re: if they've not watched Jon and Tyrion's conversation). 'Jon's love' might be more accurate since Tyrion is arguing that despite Jon's love for Daenerys, it is his duty to kill her, illustrating the conflict set up for this character. I'd like to restore some of these changes back to their previous wording but I really want to avoid disputes. Can you share some of the issues/thoughts you may have so we don't revise back and forth?

Thanks! Anatashala (talk) 09:10, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Copy-and-paste move[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:2001–02 1. FC Kaiserslautern season a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into 2001–02 1. FC Kaiserslautern season. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. An article you recently created, 2001–02 Hertha BSC season, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, Imlikeaboss. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "1996–97 AFC Ajax season".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

April 2023[edit]

Information icon Hi Imlikeaboss! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Cheshire that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. - Sumanuil.
