Liga I

Please explain to understand,

First in Infobox football league season, why at biggest away win you put the name of Poli option "ACS Poli" without city name Timisoara, and for Pandurii you put the city name, please explain to understand, show me where it says in the rules of wikipedia that.

At the longest wins you put the name "ACS Poli Timișoara", why not ACS Poli like on the biggest away win???

For Voluntari why don't use "FC Voluntari"????

For STEAUA BUCURESTI why don't use the name "FCSB"??

Explain to me why you have to put three different names on a page for one team.

Please change the name of teams from Infobox football league season to all the ninety-eighth seasons of Liga I, not only in the present season.

If you do not change at all the 97 seasons team names as you wish like in current season of 2015–16 Liga I, I'll change back just like the rest of the page so far since 1909 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.27.192.219 (talk) 16:08, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

I will try and explain once again
  1. The only reason for removing "Timisoara" from biggest away win is the the text gets to wide and I tried to keep both teams at the same row and I saw the use of ACS Poli on the ACS Poli Timișoara article. Since you did not like it I have now changed to display full name.
  2. At longest win there is only one team so we can display full team name without the text being to wide so that is what I did.
  3. I show only Voluntari and not FC becuase we pipe away those shortenings as standard on wikipedia. For example Mancheter United F.C. is only Manchester United, FC Barcelona is Barcelona, FC Astana is Astana and so on. All those shortnings should be piped away, except for ACS Poli Timisoara that is a special case. We should separate FC Politehnica Timișoara (called Poli Timisoara and Poli Timisoara redirects to that club) and ACS Poli Timișoara (also called Poli Timisoara) so in this case we must use the ACS. This is also what many English sources do when showing the table for example Soccerway and Flashscore
  4. The club is known as Steaua Bucuresti all over english sources as per WP:COMMONNAME and that is what they are known as. Dont see why we should change that?
  5. I hoped I have explained above? We should always try and used the proper piped name (without the FC), except for special cases like ACS Poli Timisoara to not confuse with other teams, just like we have UE Santa Coloma and and FC Santa Coloma in Andorra (then we have to display UE and FC). In the infobox I made a shortening because text got to long.
  6. WP:OSE I can not be expected to go around and change old seasons but I can make it correct now which is what I do as a part in overseeing all top division league table around Europa and to make sure they use the new module format. It is much easier to have it correct from the start of a season than to change after.
  7. As I said above I dont have to change all previous seasons and that is not an argument here, just because they might be wrong does not mean this season has to be. Please discuss instead of just changing all the time as that behaviour might be considered disruptive.
I hope I have answered some of your questions and I would be happy to hear from you again so we can try and solve this. Please talk before editing. Qed237 (talk) 18:13, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

When to create table templates

I noticed you have been putting in a lot of work on 2015-16 season articles including creating table templates. Are there any guidelines on when to create a template and when to have the table in the the season article? Obviously, when there are team season articles, a template is needed. Is it best to check to see if team season articles are common for the league as a way to decide which way is preferred? Equineducklings (talk) 23:57, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

@Equineducklings: Honestly I am not sure. I think templates could be used as soon as the table exists on more than one article so that editors only has to update the table at one place instead of two or more. However I like to follow these tables (see User:Qed237/sandbox#Domestic leagues) and keep track of those that needs updating so for that reason I have started creating templates anyway (even if might not needed). It is so much easier to have all tables in one place instead of going through all articles. This way the table can also be added midseason if someone creats a new team article without having to create and update a table in middle of a season. Qed237 (talk) 00:09, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

Neutral

Is it hard for editors to stay neutral, when editing articles they are involved in or is it different individually? TeaLover1996 (talk) 17:18, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) Seriously TeaLover.. what kind of question is that? How would Qed know!!! JMHamo (talk) 17:28, 19 July 2015 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) I agree, this is a question about conflicted editors, not about editing. If they have a conflict of interest then yes, very often their edits can be unhelpful (especially company employees editing the article about their company). Joseph2302 (talk) 17:30, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

Football Articles

Hi, could you look into something for me User:BraveSirRobin has made changes such as this to the article Andy Carroll, and this to the article Ashley Young, and this to the article Joleon Lescott, I believe them to be unconstructive and have reverted them, was I correct? He has added content that would state they have stopped playing for the national team, however there has been no official announcements by the media or sports websites, and I left him a message stating that Just because they haven't been picked for the team, that doesn't mean they won't play again or that they have retired. Any thoughts? TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:25, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

@TeaLover1996: It looks to me like you are right, there is nothing to prove that they will never play in the national team again. Qed237 (talk) 13:31, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

Slovak First Football League

Hello, I just added source to 2014–15 Slovak First Football League section awards — Preceding unsigned comment added by Svk fan (talkcontribs) 15:27, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

@Svk fan: Okay great, I will check it out later. Qed237 (talk) 15:32, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

2015-16 Manchester United season

why is it not allowed by law to display more than one match Avdagicdennis (talk) 18:35, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

@Avdagicdennis: It is due to Britsh Copyright Laws. A company called Football DataCo owns the right to the fixtures and anyone that wants to display a fixture list (except the clubs and PL themselves) has to pay a license fee. Wikipedia as a free organisation can not afford to pay those fees and can not take the risk of going to court for showing fixtures in UK leagues. Qed237 (talk) 19:26, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

Reference

If a user removes content they believe to be unsourced, and another user reverts the edit putting a reference (or web address) in to their edit summary, does that count as sourced information or should they put the reference into the article rather than the edit summary? Thanks TeaLover1996 (talk) 06:58, 21 July 2015 (UTC)

@TeaLover1996: It is very often better to have that source in the article. I suggest if you see something like that to give a message to the editor how to add source in article (they probably dont know so thats why they use edit summary) unless they are a regular editor. Then you can take the source and add it to the article. Qed237 (talk) 10:45, 21 July 2015 (UTC)

If an editor or IP adds possible vandalism to an article but reverts it minutes later are they still vandalising? TeaLover1996 (talk) 15:21, 22 July 2015 (UTC)

@TeaLover1996: You mean if they self-revert? I would say yes. Qed237 (talk) 15:25, 22 July 2015 (UTC)
Yes self reverts TeaLover1996 (talk) 15:27, 22 July 2015 (UTC)

hi the neil swarbrick page has his age wrong if you look at his premier league profile (www.premierleague.com/en-gb/referees/profile.html/neilswarbrick) you will see he was born in 1970 not 1965 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajruffles (talkcontribs)

Sunderland A.F.C.

Hello. For Premier League clubs it is allowed to include their Under 21 schedule to inform supporters of the club how the youth is developing. Since there is no page for a Reserve and Academy's current season, you can include their results in the first team's page. Cheers! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Parxpower (talkcontribs)

Manchester United FC

Hello, I received your message that I added an unsourced content to Manchester United FC. As per the wikipedia of the player ( Sergio Romero ), it says that the player plays for Argentina National team and for Manchester United. He recently signed a contract. I don't think the thing I added was wrong although I believe that I did a mistake by not adding a reference however, I just want to know that is it really necessary to add a reference when you are adding some player in First Team Squad of some team or club? As when you add the player, the moderator can easily click on that name and check his wikipedia to see at which club he plays.... I would really appreciate your response. Thank you in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hassan Ashas (talkcontribs)

@Hassan Ashas: Hi, Sergio Romero does not exist on manutd.com and their first team squad which is the source for that section and if you dont have source that he has joined the club it can not be added. Wikipedia (Sergio Romero article) can not be used as source as other editors may have added incorrect info on that article. The squad list should follow the source above the table. Kenny Dalglish

Hi Qed,

As far as I know in the club/international/individual awards not every single award has to be sourced. If you look at every football player or manager many are not sourced. But if you follow the internal wiki link for say English Football Hall of Fame or, PFA Players' Player of the Year you will find Kenny Dalglish at the years provided.

Of course If I can find additional external source links then I'll include them as it increases the credibility with more references, but you don't have to remove the current internal link I put there as they are valid, you can check them all.

Look at Alex Ferguson, Bill Shankly, even good rated articles like Lionel Messi. Many of the individual awards are not externally sourced.

Like I said I can add external source references where I find them but it's not defamatory or controversial like you said, and doesn't warrant removal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shreerajtheauthor (talkcontribs) 17:16, 21 July 2015 (UTC)

@Shreerajtheauthor: Everything unsourced on Biographies of Living People are subject to removal. Qed237 (talk) 17:34, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: Not trying to be difficult Qed, but then you should remove every single award that every single football player or manager has as 90% of them are unsourced. Check them out. Like I said I would like to restore all of the individual achievements, and as I get time i'll add references that I find. But if you're expecting an external source for Dalglish winning the FWA Footballer of the Year in 1979 then it's VERY hard to find that. Shreerajtheauthor (talk) 17:47, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
@Shreerajtheauthor: WP:OSE I can not be expected to edit all article, but I do know that many honours has been tagged and removed on other articles. When you add something you are responsible to source it. Qed237 (talk) 18:31, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: That is completely understandable. I've seen your work and posts and I understand the need to include sources when possible. But removing correct info even if unsourced is not productive and deters from the article. And there is a diff between the paragraphs and the list of achievements. You edit many Arsenal articles as an Arsenal fan. Look at Thierry Henry. It would not be logical to remove 95% of his awards because they are unsourced. Do you agree with removing his Golden Boot and UEFA team of the year awards just because they are unsourced externally? Of course not. Because they are internally sourced. The correct thing would be to keep them and if possible find more external sources for them to increase credibility, not to remove all info without sources. I am going to restore Kenny Dalglish individual achievements because they are not wrong, defamatory, or vandalism. If you see something that is incorrect then by all means feel free to remove it. In the coming days I will try to add external sources for what I find. Thanks.Shreerajtheauthor (talk) 18:44, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
@Shreerajtheauthor: When they already exist on an old article it is best to tag them first to give the person who added them a chance to add source. If no source is added after a month they can be removed. But when you add new content you must source it, so please do not re-add the content as I will remove it again, and since you are aware of the situation I would have to warn you, and I dont want to do that. Qed237 (talk) 18:51, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: Like I have said how are you supposed to find a source for a FWA award in 1979?!?! It makes no sense to demand sources for that as it is not feasible. THE INTERNET DID NOT EXIST. If for example you asked for sources regarding Eden Hazard's recent awards then that would be reasonable as it occurred recently and there would be many sources. I have tried to explain it and you have been extremely unreasonable given that
  1. I have given you many examples of articles without sources - much newer
  2. told you that most of these awards were in the 70's 80's so extremely few sources exist.
  3. Every source I listed IS internally linked to a wikipedia page
I still disagree and if you do not see all the points I have told you, then I guess the next stages would be to request a Wikipedia:Dispute resolution. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shreerajtheauthor (talkcontribs)
Reference for Dalglish winning the FWA Footballer of the Year in 1979 can be found here http://www.footballwriters.co.uk/awards/ Theroadislong (talk) 19:15, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
Excellent thanks. Can you also find for english football hall of fame, PFA player of the year, FWA tribute award, ballon d'or, european hall of fame. I'm more than happy to add them, but if not found then that doesn't mean that the award is not correct.Shreerajtheauthor (talk) 19:21, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: Yes I am editing them AS we speak. I just told you I am undoing the removal and then adding the sources. WAIT FOR 5 MINUTES before removing. Have some patience as I am in the middle of it. And stop sending warnings. Wait for me to finish editing and then you can make a judgement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shreerajtheauthor (talkcontribs)
@Shreerajtheauthor: Calm down, how could I now you were doing a ton of small edits and planning on coninuing. It would all be better if you did proper updates right away. When you had added it, it was unsourced and a valid warning. Anything unsource I will remove. Qed237 (talk) 16:12, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: As from the conflict resolution @TransporterMan: said "When tagging or removing material for lacking an inline citation, please state your concern that there may not be a published reliable source for the content, and therefore it may not be verifiable. When tagging or removing such material, please keep in mind that such edits can be easily misunderstood. Some editors object to others making chronic, frequent, and large-scale deletions of unsourced information, especially if unaccompanied by other efforts to improve the material. So point is don't just delete edits or large chunks of information. It's an easy way to alienate people. Drop me a message letting me know anything you think needs another source, or tag it and I'll get to it or drop me a link to a website with award listings to help. Large scale deletion of edits is not productive. We will work much better if you do this in the future.Shreerajtheauthor (talk) 16:22, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
@Shreerajtheauthor: First of all thanks for informing me about the DRN (note: being ironic). Secondly all contentious content can be removed just like @TransporterMan: says, and if there is existent content on article I usually tag first to give editors a chance, but in this case you know that what you add are unsourced, and you do it anyway. Qed237 (talk) 16:28, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: Then just send me a message. Or tag it first. If there is no action then info can be removed. Like I said deleting large scale info and sending warnings threatening blocks should be avoided when tags, messages, and normal conversation on talk pages can be used first to resolve conflicts. It's not that difficult. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shreerajtheauthor (talkcontribs)
@Qed237: SERIOUSLY MAN? I JUST TELL YOU I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF EDITS AND WAIT AND SEE THE EDITS AND YOU REMOVE THEM AGAIN? WAIT 5 FREAKING MINUTES. HOW HARD IS IT TO COMPREHEND. Now you are being an extreme annoyance for the sake of it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shreerajtheauthor (talkcontribs)

@Shreerajtheauthor: Okay, first of all stop to WP:SHOUT. Secondly you left it unsourced for 20 minutes without doing anything, how hard is it to wait and add it when you are ready? Thirdly, please start signing you posts and stop attacking me or you will be blocked. Qed237 (talk) 17:04, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

@Qed237: Please remember that Blocks are used to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, not to punish users. Like I have stated to you multiple times now when I said "I am in the middle of edits." Did you not think maybe i'll wait a few hours and give the user a chance to make these edits? I have not attacked you at all. I have simply asked you multiple times now to be courteous and discuss conflicts on a talkpage instead of deleting information. And to tag where sources are needed. It is the logical action to do.Shreerajtheauthor (talk) 17:16, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: Edits like moving Dalglish's MBE to Order are very helpful! That's constructive help and not just deletions. Thanks for finally doing that. Like I said going forward please continue to make an effort to fix edits, or discuss on talkpage how to better cite or fix edits. This is productive. Deleting is not.Shreerajtheauthor (talk) 17:26, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
If something is unsourced to a BLP I have the right to remove it. You should add source when you add it and saying that you will fix it later is not a good idea, and it might be forgotten. Qed237 (talk) 18:34, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

Sergio Busquets

Oh? So I need a source from Man UTD's official site? Alright, I am sorry for what I did. Thanks for replying :)

One more question I would like to ask. I am not sure if you watch football regularly or not though considering your contributions, it seems like you do. If you watch football of top european clubs then you would have surely heard of Sergio Busquets, a defensive midfielder of FC Barcelona. Sergio Busquets is known as a integral part of FC Barcelona and is also called one of the best Defensive midfielder in the present world, by many, the best. However, there is no good article on it but there are many sites in which there are threads like "Top Defensive Midfielders" and in those pages, Busquets is often at the top of the list. Are these type of sites a good source or do I really need a proper article to add "Busquets is arguably the best defensive midfielder of his era" ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hassan Ashas (talkcontribs)

@Hassan Ashas: Yes, player is not officially a Manchester United player until presented at their official site. About Busquets, I am well aware of who that is, it is very important that we stay WP:NPOV (neutral point of view) and not add our personal thoughts. So when those kind of statements are to be added they must be well sourced by reliable sources and a single person thinking that is not enough. I am not sure exactly what sites you are talking about and if they are reliable sources or not. Qed237 (talk) 19:06, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237:

I greatly appreciate your response, sir. Here you go with few of the sites.... http://www.espnfc.com/video/espn-fc-tv/86/video/2461070/top-10-defensive-midfielders http://footballsource.co.uk/current-best-defensive-midfielders-in-world-football/9/ http://www.caughtoffside.com/2014/10/01/ten-best-defensive-midfielders-in-the-world-chelseas-nemanja-matic-no-2-after-excellent-start-to-season-possible-arsenal-free-transfer-included/10/ http://footballsgreatest.weebly.com/defensive-midfielders.html http://www.greatestsportingmoments.com/top-10-defensive-midfielders-world/7/

It doesn't matter which site you open. If you search "Top Defensive Midfielders" on Google, you will find Busquets in every list, in most of them, at the top of the list.

Don't you think it's reliable enough?

You are a football suporter . I suport Arsenal also from England. you should apreciate the football related articles. and that one with copa del rey topscorers is unique on the internet. believe me. lets be friends and do not delete them please. and i promise i will not copy drafts anymore. @Alexiulian25: First of all when starting a new discussion please press "new section", and also sign at the end of your post not the first. An the articles are not about "unique" or not. It is an encyclopedia and should have appropriate pages. Qed237 (talk) 14:05, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

Qed237, may I suggest that rather than getting these articles deleted, you help bring them up to the expected standard? They are clearly notable clubs, and it's not that much effort to rewrite them correctly. We are meant to be collaboratively building an encylopedia here. Cheers, Number 57 14:07, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

@Number 57: I have no idea where to get sources for those article and I have a lot of other work to do. Also articles are not deleted they are also in the draft space (declined twice) and should not be created in mainspace yet. Qed237 (talk) 14:11, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
RSSSF is probably the best place to go first, as it has lists of league and cup winners, plus final tables for most countries and most seasons. Cheers, Number 57 14:45, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

The sources of these articles are in romanian, and instead to improve romanian encyclopedia I prefer to write in English, because more people can read it, even the romanian also, we are now a country, European Union, not separate, we have to cooperate and improve the English wikipedia also. I just translate from my language and have references in my language, so you should understand and accept my articles QED !! thank you !!Alexiulian25 (talk) 14:20, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

You can not verify the sources because they are in romanian, I told you, I translated to create the pages in English, I take the information from a book, I posted there, and also I translate from romanian articles.Alexiulian25 (talk) 14:35, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

@Alexiulian25: Then add the sources to the draft until it is approved. You can not recreate articles over and over again. Qed237 (talk) 14:57, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

The sources are already there: Hardy Grüne (2000) (in German), Enzyklopädie der europäischen Fußballvereine (1. ed.), Kassel: AGON Sportverlag, ISBN 3-89784-163-0 Istoria fotbalului romanesc (The history of romanian football) vol I, 1909-1944 and sometimes same book, but vol. II

This are the only sources. 2 books. It is precious information, you can not find it on web sites. It is not much information for each team, because there was many teams and it is write a bit any team. So please help me, and let the articles alive. Thank you. I can show you the book also,my friend.Alexiulian25 (talk) 17:15, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

@Alexiulian25: Not much I can do about it and not my speciality jujst add as much as you can with sources and submit it for review. Qed237 (talk) 21:50, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

Re: FIFA draw

Well, I was quite sleepy after all the edits I made yesterday, so it depends on whether I am still awake during the draw. :-) Chanheigeorge (talk) 13:30, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

Draw

Hey, I would love to know how do you do those edits so fast? Lucky102 (talk) 16:32, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

@Lucky102: Preparations. I add shortings for the positions of the three letters should be and then do "find and replace". For south america i had T01, T02, T03 and so on. Then when draw was made i did "find and replace" and replaced T10 with URU and so on. I have also prepared Europe and I did Africa earlier. Unfortunately I had not time for all confederations. Is it wise to use an edit summary, although it isn't mandatory? TeaLover1996 (talk) 22:53, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) I feel you know the answer to this already, yes you are encouraged to always use an edit summary. It helps people know why you're doing things. Joseph2302 (talk) 23:00, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

Macedonia naming conventions (re my edit to FK Vardar page)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(Macedonia) says

Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia or any of its abbreviations will otherwise not be used.

Is it ok now?

Regards, Kiro

— Preceding unsigned comment added by Kirev (talkcontribs)

@Kirev: Yes, I looked at FK Vardar and it looks good. The issue I had last time was that something messed up the header "history" (text was added to it) but now it works. And thank you for the link to the naming conventions I was wondering why football tables has stopped showing "FYR Macedonia" and now is showing only "Macedonia". Politics is not my area of expertice and I am not from that part of the world. Qed237 (talk) 15:38, 26 July 2015 (UTC)

2015–16 Chelsea F.C. season

Hi, just wanna say thank you for the contribution for the page, but Bertrand Traoré and Victor Moses are first team players this season and this has been confirmed by the manager through the media, hope you can add them back to the squad information. Cheers! Immback (talk) 01:12, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

@Immback: They are not in first team squad at Chelseas official webpage and until they are listed in first team by Chelsea they can not be in our first team. Qed237 (talk) 01:14, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
Perhaps the webpage may update the list when the season start. Never mind I will add them back after few weeks when the season start. Thanks! Immback (talk) 01:22, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
@Immback: We just have to wait and see. Qed237 (talk) 01:24, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Let's see what you think

Hi Qed, just wanted to let you know that I saw your message on my talk page about the proposed deletion for Enoch Barwuah, I took some time and I added reliable sources in the reference section. I hope you can read this and check out the page to see if anything is missing. If I did something wrong, let me know at my talk page TheSoccerBoy (talk) 02:35, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Responded at your talkpage. Good that you could add a source but it looks like the footballer is not notable. Qed237 (talk) 13:34, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round Group A–H

Hello, Qed237.

May be rename from "Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round Group A" to "Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round Group A table". Also for from "B" to "H".

Also "Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round Ranking of fourth-placed teams" and "Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round Ranking of runner-up teams".

GAV80 (talk) 23:44, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

@GAV80: Yes I was thinking about doing that for consistency, but then i waited because it is used on several places, so thought I would do it tomorrow. Also not exactly sure what to call the last two tables. UEFA is just Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – UEFA Runners-up table so I was thinking "Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round Runners-up table" and "Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round Fourth-placed table"? Qed237 (talk) 23:50, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: I thought about "Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round Runners-up table" and "Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round Fourth-placed table" too. P.S. I don't know how rename pages and templates. GAV80 (talk) 23:55, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
Okay great, then we can agree on the names. I will rename them tomorrow so it gets properly done (too tired now). Qed237 (talk) 23:59, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
@GAV80: Forgot to ping. Qed237 (talk) 00:04, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: About "Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – UEFA Group A table" (B-I). In notes: "The ninth-ranked runners-up will be eliminated." May be right "The ninth-ranked runner-up will be eliminated."? GAV80 (talk) 13:46, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
@GAV80: I think I see your point, but although English is not my native language I think teams can be considered as plural (several players) like "Chelsea Football Club /ˈtʃɛlsiː/ are a professional football club..." (my note in bold) at Chelsea F.C. and other places I have seen same thing. Qed237 (talk) 14:48, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
@GAV80: Also is it "Runners-up" and "Fourth-placed teams"? You dont say "Runners-up teams" but just "Fourth-placed table" dos not seem right it is like saying the table is placed fourth. Qed237 (talk) 14:51, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: English is not my native language too. My view: "Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round Runners-up table" and "Template:2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round Fourth-placed teams table" because "Runners-up"="Second-placed teams"→"Fourth-placed teams". GAV80 (talk) 15:15, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
@GAV80: That is my view to. Qed237 (talk) 15:28, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: Hello, Qed237. Thank you for renamed tables. GAV80 (talk) 16:29, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
@GAV80: No problem, I hope it works everywhere now and that all tables have the correct name. Qed237 (talk) 16:36, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: I found two pages with redirects. Fixed. 2015–16 in Indian football and Lebanon national football team. GAV80 (talk) 17:17, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
@GAV80: Great, I know there is more (my own sandbox being one, I will fix later), but it does not matter much. It works anyway. Qed237 (talk) 18:05, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Parma Calcio

Please see Italian Wikipedia to "Società Sportiva Dilettantistica Parma Calcio 1913". Why not in English?--Italy World (talk) 22:37, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

@Italy World: It is clearly stated it is a new club so Parma FC should not be moved there. Qed237 (talk) 22:44, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Under art. 52 of N.O.I.F. it is to continuity to the old club as Robur Siena S.S.D. with Siena Calcio. Why not Parma? --Italy World (talk) 23:04, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

I am not up to speed with that club and its history, I just follow the sources I have seen. Qed237 (talk) 23:09, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Why sources? The ufficial source is the art. 52 N.O.I.F. and so it is to continuity with the old club. A new club in Italy non restarded from Serie D, but Terza Categoria. --Italy World (talk) 23:21, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Then I suggest you take it up for discussion at the article talkpage. Qed237 (talk) 01:24, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
Per the BBC it is a new, separate club. GiantSnowman 11:44, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

The discussion is open to Parma Calcio 1913, but the name of new club is S.S.D Parma Calcio 1913. For move the title of the old Parma to the the it's necessary an administrator. --Italy World (talk) 00:19, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

Then I suggest you look at WP:RM for a move request. Qed237 (talk) 12:40, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

Stupid wikipedia

I worked so hard for those unique articles and now are deleted. is not even a draft left ?? Copa del Rey Topscorers by Season

Copa del Rey Topscorers

I do not understand. It is your fault ... you pruposed ... Alexiulian25 (talk) 18:33, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

@Alexiulian25: As I have told you, please sign at bottom of your edits, not at the top. Also I have several times told you to not create more articles as you clearly have no knowledge of notability at what should have articles or not. The articles was deleted simply because they were not notable, we can not have articles for very minor things. Qed237 (talk) 19:32, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

A list of topscorers is a minor thing? man ... what football suporter you are ... look how many articles with list of topscorers are here ... top scorers list in Uefa champions league ... world cup ... why not another competiton ? even if is not so prestigious.Alexiulian25 (talk) 19:37, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

@Alexiulian25: Well it is not notable enough. Qed237 (talk) 19:40, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

Ok, if does not worth a separate article, lets put the information in the main article of Copa del Rey, even if would be a long article and hardly to find fast the information you need from there ?Alexiulian25 (talk) 19:41, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

you undo my edits. I do not understand your way of thinking. seriously. you seem to be weird. why it needs a "citanion needed" here : Faroe Islands Premier League at the number of club column ?? when we know all the time table of each year and inclusive the number of teams. It is logic. !!!Alexiulian25 (talk) 19:45, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

@Alexiulian25: Adding a top10 list does not make the article much longer. That is the max size such extra info should be (if well sourced). Qed237 (talk) 19:46, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

Already exist a top10 list. I mean to add there all 75top goalscorers there if you do not want a separete article.Alexiulian25 (talk) 19:47, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

@Alexiulian25: Not notable to list all 75 scorers. Qed237 (talk) 19:48, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

Alexiulian25 (talk) 19:50, 31 July 2015 (UTC)what a football fan you are ? exist already this kind of lists with Uefa champions League. Did you hear of this competition ?? so why not to expand to the other competitions ???

@Alexiulian25: Because it is not notable. Qed237 (talk) 19:51, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

why do you give me the same word ? notable ? are you God to know what is notable for 7 billions people ?? and you are a football supporter .. you should understand and look at this ... List of European Cup and UEFA Champions League top scorers.

be a bit open-minded. and put yourself in me. do you think it was easy to find so much information? who is your football favorite player? imaging you want to see him in a list of topscorers .. even if he is 11. or 20. why to have just first 10 ? Alexiulian25 (talk) 19:56, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

@Alexiulian25: Not my decision, it was unanimous voting at AfD. AND LEARN HOW TO SIGN. Qed237 (talk) 20:00, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

who cares about sign ?? when you delete people work. who is going to read our discusion ?? no one cares here ... I m disapointed by wikipedia. by people from here. I expect from you, who are a football fan to understand better and support to have this kind of articles. and help to improve not nominate for deletion. You nomitaned the deletion . if you would not nominate the article would still exist !! So if you do not help to change the mentality here and get the articles back I want my acount deleted and never come back here. and also tell to other people about this! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexiulian25 (talkcontribs)

Hello friend, look I only changed the category’s name about the Chilean first-tier because Primera División de Chile is the proper noun of it and its original name in Spanish too. Well, I hope you understand me please and do not revert my modification. I have worked hard in the categories and other articles about the Chilean football. Only an example, the Spanish league or Italian league has its proper nouns, being those La Liga and Serie A respectively. Greetings from Santiago de Chile, User:Ulof4 (talk).

The name of categories and templates should follow article name. Qed237 (talk) 00:49, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

August: 2015–16 Chelsea F.C. season

Hi it's me again. I've noticed that you have deleted the stats of APPS, GOALS, TRANSFER FEE and SINCE of the players for several times? You have also edited 2015–16 Arsenal F.C. season but you tend to keep those APPS, GOALS etc which exist in this secton-2015–16 Arsenal F.C. season, sources are provided alongside the info. Does it mean if I add sources, thoses stats can also exist in the 2015–16 Chelsea F.C. season article too? If not, is it double standard? User:Immback (talk) 13:14, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

@Immback: Please take it to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football#2015–16 Chelsea F.C. season. Qed237 (talk) 13:17, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
@Immback: WP:OSE Just because it exists on other articles does not make it right, I hav ea lot of work, but believe me I will work through more articles. Those sections should not exist per consensus. Qed237 (talk) 13:18, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
@Immback: As you may see I corrected Liverpool yesterday (diff) as well as Newcastle (diff) and Tottenham (diff) and I also corrected other issues on those articles. Qed237 (talk) 13:25, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
Coz I saw you mentioned yourself as Arsenal fan in your user page, but it seems you ignored the section in the Arsenal page but keep an eye on the Chelsea page. It leads to this misunderstanding. Hope you can fair and do the same edit on the Arsenal page. My words might be bit harsh and sorry for my poor English. Cheers! User:Immback (talk) 13:33, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
@Immback: Yes I will do Arsenal page also. The reason why I have not dont it yet is because it is based on templates rather than a normal wikitable which means a lot of extra work and I have had to focus my work elsewhere on other things that has taken a lot of time and power. No worries, I can understand your view, it is never fun to have something you worked on being deleted. Qed237 (talk) 13:36, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
