At best, this would seem locally notable but my searches found nothing particularly outstanding (here, here and here are the best results I found) and I haven't searched specifically at local news sources but I'm sure there's some there. I think the article could be a little better but I'm not sure if it can happen. Your comments? SwisterTwister talk 05:38, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

SwisterTwister thanks for bringing this to my attention before you consider it for deletion. The article is apparently notable. I found significant coverages in multiple independent reliable sources. The organization is a winner of multiple global awards, it also won 25 awards in 2012. I can also see Vanguard News, The Sun News, The Nigerian Voice, Daily post to mention few. However I have no prejudice against its deletion through WP:AfD if its notability is still in doubt but I think, it will survive AfD. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 07:59, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Wikicology, if you'd look at the page carefully you would notify that the section of that page is named: 2015 Nigerian billionaires list and not List of rich Nigerians... or so. The 2015 list of Forbes is a stable version, only the Real time ranking differs. Therefore your revert is not useful. The edits are based on the 2015 ranking and not in real time, otherwise we could change it every day. Cruks (talk) 13:25, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Cruks, what revert are you talking about? List of Nigerian billionaires by net worth is not the same as 2015 Nigerian billionaires list. The content of List of Nigerian billionaires by net worth doesn't reflect the title. Inclusion in the list will apparently based on the title. You probably should move the article to the appropriate title to avoid confusion. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 13:45, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I repeat, the data in the article point to the stable version of 2015 and not to Real time ranking. That is why your edit is inappropriate. Cruks (talk) 15:55, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Cruks, do you really find it difficult to understand that List of Nigerian billionaires by net worth cannot only reflect the "Nigerian billionaires list" compiled in 2015 but also the ones compiled in other years? You probably should stop posting messages on my talk page until you are more familiar with basic policies. Your talk page history shows you are a problematic editor who will surely not get it, no matter how we try to make you understand. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 17:32, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Don't become unfair to me or I report you. The only one who does not understand nothing is yourself. Sorry about that. EoD.Cruks (talk) 17:52, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Nitrogen dioxide poisoning, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Inhibition. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

John Hansard Gallery[edit]

Why won't a copyright infringement deletion apply to John Hansard Gallery if the first three sentences of the original edit copied sentences from the top section of the provided link? TheGGoose (talk) 14:12, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

TheGGoose---The page can easily be fixed because its not a blatant copyright infringement and fixing it is more appropriate than tagging for speedy deletion. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 19:33, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thank you for your message[edit]

I think I jumped the gun (sorry) but the place for personal messages is on personal Talk pages. Yours, BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 23:23, 8 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Mr 2Kay[edit]

Greetings Wikicology, hope all is well on your end. I came across the AFD tag you left on the Mr 2Kay article. I'm glad you closed the AFD discussion because a Google search of the subject shows notability. Mr 2Kay is known in the Nigerian music circles. Versace1608 (Talk) 02:53, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm doing great Versace1608! I abysmally nominated it for deletion but I speedy closed it after another look. You seemed not to be very active this days, I hope all is well? Wikigyt@lk to M£ 07:49, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
All is well bro, thank God. I'm not really active because I'm trying to take a break from Wikipedia for maybe a year or two. I used to be very addicted but I need to teach myself that I can do without it when push comes to shove. Glad to see you still active here. Versace1608 (Talk) 09:43, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Contributing here is really time-consuming. I earlier thought of taking a break too but there are poor representation of Nigeria-related articles on Wikipedia. I think this could be attributed to poor participation of editors from Nigeria. We really need editors from Nigeria. Is there anyway we can improve on this? Wikigyt@lk to M£ 10:15, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I fully agree with your statement above. I personally think that visiting different high schools and universities in Nigeria and talking about the importance of contributing to Wikipedia will motivate students to partake in this encyclopedia. Many people won't mind contributing but some of them don't know how to go about doing that. You should talk to other faculties at your school about setting up a program for students who are interested in learning about contributing to Wikipedia. If the program is successful at one school, it has the potential of being successful at another. Versace1608 (Talk) 09:59, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What's 3RR?[edit]

While I'm not that new to Wikipedia, I'm not sure I know what 3RR is. Please school me. Kunkuru (talk) 00:25, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Okay just read up on 3RR and I find it quite restrictive but understand why it is place. Well, please review my edits and try to understand my POV and the spirit of what I attempted to communicate. I guess we'll discuss further on the Talk page and thanks for bringing 3RR to my knowledge. Kunkuru (talk) 00:30, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing seemed to be wrong with your edits and I quiet understood your POV. The current version of the article, Mohammed Shuwa is better than the previous version and doesn't left anything out of the previous version. If you feel your version is fine, feel free to leave your own version but another editor is likely to revert your edit. Kunkuru, the truth is: I'm not the only one who can prevent a baboon from entering the city. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 00:40, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Boko Haram sect vs. Boko Haram assassins[edit]

Did the whole Boko Haram sect murder Mohammed Shuwa or did 4 members of the supsected Boko Haram sect to the dastardly act? See my POV? When you just leave it as Boko Haram sect you are suggesting that all members of Boko Haram did the murdering :-) Kunkuru (talk) 13:51, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No one knows the exact number of the members involved but it is believed that he was murdered by members of the group. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 14:01, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Can you confirm this newspaper exists? My searches found good at all aside from the city Abuja of course. It seems the now blocked user had good intentions edits but the fact this hasn't been edited since and there are no signs of improvement concerns me. SwisterTwister talk 23:12, 20 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

SwisterTwister the subject of the article appears to be a WP:HOAX. I can't find a single source to establish its existence. Feel free to tag it for speedy deletion. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 15:08, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

COI editing[edit]

Hello Wikicology, I saw your reply here, and technically your advice isn't entirely correct: While editing with a conflict of interest or writing an autobiography is strongly discouraged, it's not forbidden outright. I generally think it's better not to mislead the people looking for help, even if they're about to create spam about themselves. Huon (talk) 19:41, 28 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your concern Huon. However, I'm aware that COI editing is not forbidden and I earlier thought of pointing them to WP:PSCOI but I Avoided giving an opportunity to spammers. They are people I described as WP:MOSQUITOES. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 20:10, 28 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
