Welcome!

Hello, Writer336, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as JJ Heller, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on JJ Heller requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Calabe1992 (talk) 21:27, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

June 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from JJ Heller, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. jsfouche ☽☾Talk 22:49, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article JJ Heller has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. File source and copyright licensing problem with File:JJHeller.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:JJHeller.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 02:31, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please, please, stop reinserting the names and dates of birth of children into this article. That Heller has kids might well be worth noting, but it is a privacy issue to also include their names and dates of birth. Also, please can you read up on how to source the article. There are a couple reasons for this. One is to establish the notability of the person - I see that the article has been deleted previously, and this might happen again unless you can show Heller has sufficient coverage in reliable sources. The other is that we take biographies of living people very seriously. Everything in a biography should be sourced. This is to try and make sure that we do not damage the person who the article is about. Please reas WP:BLP for more information. If you have any queries about how to put sources into the article, or what a reliable source is then please ask. There are lots of people who would be willing to help. Just type {{help me}} on your page and explain what you want to do and someone will be along. Polequant (talk) 14:26, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. January 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm Walter Görlitz. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, JJ Heller, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Adding martial and child information about a living person without a reference is against policy. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:14, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:BLPNAME. If you disagree, feel free to ask on the BLP talk page. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:18, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Adding references[edit]

You might want to spend some time reading Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. Walter Görlitz (talk) 16:54, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

July 2013[edit]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living persons, as you did to Group 1 Crew. Thank you. As mentioned yesterday when you added and I removed the child information, any such information added to a biography of a living person (or their band) without a reference must be removed immediately. See WP:BLP. Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:21, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Moriah Peters may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 02:42, 11 July 2013 (UTC)</ref></nowiki> |lines=3}}[reply]

Do you need help adding references?[edit]

Please look above for information on how to do so. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:36, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if it's the Visual Editor or you[edit]

Your recent edits to the Moriah Peters have resulted in major damage to the article. This is what it looks like in the old editor. Please notice that the {{Use mdy dates}} is deleted along with the infobox. Nowiki mark-up is placed around half of the lede paragraph and links in that section are gone too. The background section drops two references and the heading formatting is completely messed-up. Then, you add a copyrighted image that was taken from http://lyricsmusic.name/moriah-peters-lyrics/ and at least Visual Editor restores two of the references that you and it deleted from the infobox. Please stop adding copyrighted images. Please check your edits before saving them. Please stop using Visual Editor since it has problems when used in Crhome, which it appears your browsing with. Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:57, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Date formats[edit]

Please see WP:DATEFORMAT

July 7, 2013 is correct.
Neither July 7th, 2013 nor July 7th, 2013 is correct.

Stop making that change now. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:22, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

And then there's WP:STONGNAT. As two upstanding Australian lads, the date format used on the page is day month year. Feel free to check the other dates on the page to confirm.
I would also strongly suggest that you start providing edit summaries and discuss changes. Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:30, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
