On another matter, do you think an essay on why off-line sources are OK would be a good idea? Maybe at WP:Offline Sources? --Blargh29 (talk) 22:54, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

**WP:RS has nothing on off-line sources. I can't find an essay on the topic either. I started the essay at User:Blargh29/Offline. --Blargh29 (talk) 14:48, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to my talk page. Please leave me a message below and I will reply on your talk page. Although my email address is enabled, it is not an address I check often (so I may be slow in replying to email). Please also note that while I am glad to do a peer review on just about any article, I do not have the time to do copyedits (sorry). Thanks for stopping by and happy editing! Pritzker Pavilion

I am hoping to clean it up enough to take it to FA as my next nom for WP:CHIFTD's WP:FT-making article. I hope I can get you to work with me on it because you are a superior editor. It will take a lot of help to get the content reorganized.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 04:57, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have just completed a re-write of Wikipedia:Linkrot. Would you be interested in reviewing it? I would be interested in your opinion and suggestions for improvement.--Blargh29 (talk) 05:09, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Peer review on Burger King products

Hey, thanks for doing that back in June. I have been slowly working on the article and have added about 20k of citations as well gone on a copy editing tear. Could you take a look at it and add any comments on the talk page? --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 07:20, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Archips semiferanus and Croesia semipurpurana

Excellent articles! I think Capua semiferana is a synonym, although I'm not completely sure. The best source for finding synoynyms is http://www.ubio.org/, but Capua semiferanus is not listed there, see http://www.ubio.org/browser/details.php?namebankID=345365. You might want to add it to "synonyms" in the taxobox and make a redirect. Anyway: thanks for the hard work! And for that:

The Wikiproject Lepidoptera Barnstar
For User:Ruhrfisch for his excellent articles on two important pest species.

Wow! Congrats on the barnstar and the quick turnaround on the DYK. I'll take a look them later. Dincher (talk) 21:24, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Although not the most interesting thing to read about, I think you should go for GA on both these articles. Dincher (talk) 01:47, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Go for it. Can't hurt to try. Dincher (talk) 22:09, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I will. Xactly what I needed. Dincher (talk) 00:28, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Probably won't work on it until Saturday. Dincher (talk) 00:30, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Found it in Norwegian here. Working on translating it with an online translating tool. Dincher (talk) 00:37, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The translator isn't working as well as I had hoped. It reminds me of the Swedish Chef. I guess quick and dirty won't work. Never really does, does it? Dincher (talk) 01:08, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, please upload the pics. That will be great! Dincher (talk) 01:25, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A few days is fine. Maybe Thursday, but definetly Saturday. Dincher (talk) 02:51, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for uploading the pics. Dincher (talk) 17:19, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: FLickr licensing question

Hey Ruhrfisch, the key thing for the OTRS checkers is a valid email account so that they can verify the details of the agreement. One can only contact a Flickrmail account through the Flickr system, so that is out (especially since the Flickrmail does not show email addresses). As for Wikipedia talk pages and such, they are definitely out. However, I am uncertain for cases of talk pages that show the email of the user. The OTRS checkers might contact the user through his email then, but I kind of doubt that... You might want to ask commons:Commons:OTRS/Noticeboard about this. Jappalang (talk) 02:24, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Note that if he states on his Flickr profile that he is User:Cngodles on Wikipedia, we can use the diff of the permission. However, "I give complete permission to reuse my Flickr photos within the Flickr universe." does not sound like granting permission to use his work for any purposes. Hi!

Hi ruhrfisch! Hope you are not busy.

I am finding it very difficult to get references for the stated unsourced material of 2003 Afro-Asian Games. I am sure I had seen the information in some site, but I cannot remember which. Unfortunately, I had not added references at the immediate moment, as I thought it was unnecessary to do so. Do you really think that referencing all the unsourced material is necessary for a B-class rating? I know my article is far from GA-class, but can it become B-class as of now? I have worked on it for really long, and I would like to know whether it is ready to reach the same level as 2008 Summer Olympics.

Any other comments and suggestions are most welcome.

DYK for Croesia semipurpurana

Updated DYK query On November 6, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Croesia semipurpurana, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

I've not seen any of the drill rigs in person. I bet the people that have owned the land for many years are very happy to lease it out for big bucks. Once the well's drilled, from what I've seen the impact on the surface in minimal. Dincher (talk) 21:25, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PA Manual

About the correction to the PA Manual--that's a good question. I looked around, and there are a few email address from the DGS for corrections submitted be other agencies: I will put them in hidden comments to avoid them getting picked up by spammers:. I would suggest sending them an email. Even if it's too late for the 119th, there will be time for the 120th. I found an email address for General DCNR at [], but it's probably some intern who answers that email. If you're interested, here is a telephone directory. Of those people, I would try to get ahold of Christine Novak, the press secretary. I don't really see any email contact for her (or anyone for that matter).

Hi (My reply)

If its not too much trouble, I would not mind the review and comments on the article. Thanks! DragonZero (talk · contribs) 04:48, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Xeris spectrum

I started working on this wasp. It's going pretty well so far. I cannot access commons at work. Could you go ahead and add a pic to the infobox for me? Also, if you can find the genus for me it would be appreciated. (If I don't figure it out first) It's blank as of 9:00am. --Dincher (talk) 13:58, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for adding the pics, I am still not sure I have the correct species. Apparently this critter works in symbiosis with a fungus in Norway, but nowhere else. Could you check the references and see if you get the same idea that I am getting? Dincher (talk) 16:39, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. I am pretty much done. Whatever improvements you can make would be great and if you have a hook idea, even better. Dincher (talk) 17:12, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. The nomination is in. Dincher (talk) 18:38, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
