The Premier League Hall of Fame is the hall of fame for association football players that have played in the Premier League. Inaugurated in 2020 but postponed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom, the Hall of Fame is intended to recognise and honour players that have achieved great success, and made a significant contribution to the league since its founding in 1992.
The Premier League Hall of Fame aims to honour players who have shown exceptional skill at association football, and have had a significant influence on the Premier League. Founded in 2021, it is an online-only entity, as opposed to the English Football Hall of Fame, which has a physical location in Manchester. The Hall inducts between four and six new individuals each year, with each induction to be broadcast nationally on Sky Sports.

For players to be eligible for induction into the Premier League Hall of Fame, several criteria are taken into consideration, primarily players who have an "exceptional record of on-pitch success and have shown significant contribution" since the inception of the Premier League in 1992. Other factors are also taken into consideration, with players needing to have retired before the start of the awarding season, and are only judged on their domestic performances in the Premier League with no other competitions considered. Additionally, players must have made 250 appearances in the league, or achieved one of the following:

Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry, the first players to be inducted.

For a player to be eligible on the ballot for Hall of Fame honours, he must be fully retired before the start of the rewarding season.[1] If a player retired for a short period, then his case and eligibility are reviewed on an individual basis. As part of the inaugural class of 2021, two players were inducted to the Hall - Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry - with six more set to be inducted based on the results of a public opinion poll.[2]

Requirements

Players must have retired before the start of the awarding season and are only judged on their domestic performances in the Premier League and no other competitions considered. Players must have made 250 appearances or if not satisfy one of the following:[3]
