Background

Mauricio J. Claver-Carone is a Florida-born lawyer who grew up in Madrid. He is one of eight executive committee members of the U.S.-Cuba Democracy Political Action Committee (PAC), and the Executive Director of the Cuba Democracy Public Advocacy Corp.

He has been a prominent advocate of U.S. policy against the current Cuban government. In addition, he has written numerous columns and taken part in various televised debates on this topic.
