Teaching

Tripos (BA/MA)

A Social and Political Sciences Tripos (commonly known as "SPS") has been running at Cambridge University, in some form, since 1970, being fully established under Anthony Giddens. For undergraduates, the course is initially multi-disciplinary, encompassing Politics, Psychology, Sociology and Social Anthropology.[3]

Postgraduate (MPhil/PhD)

The faculty teaches a number of masters programmes and contains students studying for doctorates.

Applications

The number of applicants per place for SPS is one of the highest in Cambridge, averaging around 6 to every place.[4]
