*It's not 33 kannons. It's 33 temples dedicated to Kannon/Guanyin. I don't recommend including any kind of number in the title. This type of numerology is not nearly as common in English as it is in Asian languages. ''[http://books.google.com.vn/books?id=v2yiyLLOj88C&pg=PA2497&dq=#v=onepage&q=Saigoku&f=false Religions of the World]'' (p. 2497) calls this subject the "Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage." Saigoku

This article should be renamed "Saigoku 33 Temple Pilgrimage" NOT "Kansai". It's hardly even colloquially called the "Kansai Pilgrimage". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 183.77.65.241 (talk) 15:30, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I used the number for consistency with the Chugoku Kannon Pilgrimage article, but I've no invested interest in number or no number (but whichever is decided, the other should probably be made consistent). Moving it to Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage sounds good to me. ChubbyWimbus (talk) 16:50, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
