Frank Montgomery school was placed in [[special measures]], due to poor [[Ofsted] inspection reports, in December 1998, and following intervention by the Local Education Authority and Ofsted came out of special measures in November 2003. However it returned to special measures in 2005 and was effectively closed through the creation of a new [[Academy (English school)|Academy School]] on the same campus in 2007. |
