Question- When i was creating that article, i found that the same synopsis was mentioned in 5 reliable and 10 unknown websites. I didn't use those unknown websites as my reference. They mentioned it as official description by the publisher. As it was official description, i didn't change the words and grammar/preposition.

If other websites can publish it, why can't Wikipedia?

Should i mention that it's official description? -- <strong><span style="font-family: 'Georgia'; text-shadow: 0px 0px 10px MediumSeaGreen">[[User:Action Hero|<span style="color:#ffffff">Action Hero</span>]] [[User talk:Action Hero|<em><span style="color:SpringGreen">Shoot!</span></em>]]</span></strong> 02:24, 15 September 2015 (UTC)

Popular articles have their versions in various languages. On the left side of the page, there are links to German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish version of the same page. Does it get linked automatically or it can be done manually? --Action Hero 11:14, 6 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In principle it gets done automatically, and not just for popular articles but for any where versions exist in other languages. Manual updates can be made if for some reason (e.g. titles differ) the automatic process doesn't work. See WP:WikiData for details. JohnCD (talk) 11:26, 6 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

On this day...

In the main page there is a section "On this day...". How are they added everyday? --Action Hero 03:18, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Generally, editors suggest listings, as described on WP:OTD. Rotideypoc41352 (talk) 03:41, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If the user continues to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. Thank you. NeilN talk to me 01:59, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@NeilN: His talk page shows he was warned and that edit https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rick_Riordan&diff=680347228&oldid=680022349 shows he was vandalising. And thanks for giving me my first blue notification for messages. -- Action Hero Shoot! 02:02, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Warned sufficiently and recently. The IP's most recent warning was a level 1 (there are 4 levels) more than two days ago. --NeilN talk to me 02:05, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@NeilN:The warning is level 1 as bots don't have the AI to know what he did to Rick Riordan's page. Action Hero Shoot! 02:24, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Run of the mill vandalism that might deserve a level 2 at most. --NeilN talk to me 02:26, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting opinion on this article Apple, Inc., Foxconn, and its Labor Practices. Doesn't look fit to be on Wikipedia. -- Action Hero Shoot! 07:27, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Doesn't fall under any of the standard speedy deletion criteria, so I've tagged it for deletion via WP:PROD. Yunshui  07:58, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Patrolled pages appearing yellow

Cemaes Head, Panagiotis Anagnostopoulos (general), 1984–85 Maryland Terrapins men's basketball team, Jeremy Slater, Cleveland City Hall.

In the list of newly created un-patrolled pages these pages appear in Yellow colour since yesterday. I am unable to find "mark this page as patrolled link" which appears at the bottom of the page. These pages are already patrolled but they are not leaving the Yellow list- like the other pages i patrolled and then they quit the list of Yellow pages. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:NewPages&dir=prev&hidepatrolled=1

"Yellow highlights indicate pages that have not yet been patrolled"- this message at the top of the page doesn't fit on those pages. -- Action Hero Shoot! 14:53, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You need to review the page using the Curation Toolbar --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 15:08, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Kethrus: how i will get that tool? Action Hero Shoot! 15:16, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Action Hero: If you go to one of the articles, on the left of the page under Tools there should be an option that says Curate this article. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 15:22, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Action Hero: Another note, Special:NewPagesFeed is a LOT better than Special:NewPages. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 15:51, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Kethrus: I am aware of that. After viewing few pages i found i may not be helpful. I am mainly interested to nominate useless pages for deletion. Action Hero Shoot! 16:52, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Action Hero: Just do what you're comfortable with, you'll realize over time you become more comfortable performing more tasks. We all have to start somewhere! --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 16:58, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your AfDs

Hello Action Hero! I was browsing through the AfD logs and noticed some of your nominations, such as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Origin of airport IATA codes-A and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michael Jordan vs. Qiaodan lacked a reason for deletion. Don't forget to go back and add a detailed rationale to each discussion; otherwise, they may be closed as speedy keep. Cheers, Altamel (talk) 15:23, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Crown of Midnight requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://hauntedorchid.blogspot.ca/2014_11_01_archive.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
