Killing Veerappan is an upcoming Indian, multlingual docudrama thriller film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma,[1] based on events leading to Operation Cocoon to capture or kill Indian bandit Veerappan.[2] The film is being shot simultaneously in the Kannada, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages, featuring Shivaraj Kumar in the central role of Senthamarai Kannan, a SP with the Special Task Force (STF), and the spy who masterminded Operation Cocoon that led to Veerappan's killing in 2004.[3]

The first trailer of Killing Veerappan in all three languages were released on 12 July 2015.[4] It is set to release theatrically on 6 November.[5]
