Rubén Bend Gundersen, more known like “The Rubius” or "Rubius" (Mijas, 13 February 1990), is a videoproductor in the platform #YouTube of Spanish origin. To date of February of 2016, is the youtuber more followed of his country,[1] the second in Spanish language and the 4º more popular of #YouTube to global level.[Note 1] The thematic main of his videos are the video games commented, treated of a humorous form.[1][1]
Biography
Been born in the place malagueña of Mijas in 1990, of Spanish father and Norwegian mother, happened his infancy and part of his adolescence between Spain and the Nordic country.[2][3][4] In Norway boarded, through Internet, become friends with Miguel Ángel Rogel (more known like Mangel or mangelrogel), YouTuber Spanish that collaborates of frequent way in his videos, to the one who knew in person in 2012 and with the one who shared flat during a time.

In 2012 it began to go up videos in which it participated in chats of the portal Chatroulette like a troll of Internet, what finished for shooting his popularity, that since has not done more than growing. His channel attained to be the first of Spain in number of subscribers in November of 2012, when it surpassed to the videoproductor Willyrex, and attained the million of followers in February of 2013. In February of 2015, turned into the first Spanish channel in reaching the 10 million subscribers.
In October of 2015 #YouTube organised a gala to commemorate his tenth anniversary, where Rubius and the also youtuber Spanish Vegetta777 received the prize «Button of diamond» that awards to the channels with more than ten million subscribers.[7][8]
To date of February of 2016, The Rubius has more than 16 000 000 subscribers and his videos have been reproduced more than 3 200 million times.[9] In the social network Twitter has more than 5,4 million followers and in Facebook more than 5,9 millions.
Publications
In 2014 it published The book Troll, an interactive book with challenges that the readers have to complete. The work, that in his first six weeks in the bookshops sold 40.300 copies and went the number one in sales in Spain during eight weeks, turned into a big success of sales of the Fair of the Book of Madrid of this year.[10][11]
In September of 2015 the publishing Planet published his first comic, that was called The Rubius: Virtual Hero. In him, the own Rubius adentra in the world of the virtual reality, where beside some mates will live adventures and will have to surpass obstacles.[12]
