Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :

RC Patrol - Keeping a lookout for vandalism. Cleanup - Help make unreadable articles readable. Requests - Wanted on WP, but hasn't been created. Merge - Combining duplicate articles into one. Wikiprojects - So many to join, so many to choose from...Take your pick!

Hazuki Fujiwara

The "Hazuki Fujiwara" character of "Magical Doremi" is NOT called "HA-DU-KI" in English, but "HA-ZU-KI", because DU is rendered as "ZU" in Hepburn. づ/ヅ is only rendered as "du" in Nippon-shiki; Anglophones almost always use Hepburn. WhisperToMe 01:05, 11 May 2005 (UTC)

Excuse me to have made you take the time and effort of correction... I did not know the rule in Hepburn.

Because her name "はづき" is miswritten for "はずき" frequently in Japanese (in Nihon-shiki Romaji, the former is spelled "Haduki" and the latter is spelled "Hazuki"), I misunderstood that "Haduki" is the miswriting of the same kind as it. -Kasuga 21:26, 11 May 2005 (UTC)

By the way, the U.S. dub company for DoReMi released the English names of the characters. The article has been partially updated to reflect that. However, I do not know which characters these (http://4kids.tv/magicaldoremi/characters/fairies.php) are, so please help me figure out which is which.. WhisperToMe 01:31, 6 August 2005 (UTC)

I browsed the website of 4kids. Your edit of the article is correct. The correspondence of Japanese/English character's names is

• Doremi Harukaze / Dorie Goodwyn
• Hazuki Fujiwara / Reanne Griffith
• Aiko Seno / Mirabelle Haywood.

Although Fairies's names(Dodo, Mimi and Rae Rae) are not written in the present article, they are the same names as Japanese. (Dodo is Dorie's personal Fairy. And Mimi is it of Mirabelle, and Rae Rae is it of Reanne) --Kasuga 16:16, 6 August 2005 (UTC)

The Doremi titles

Regarding the titles that were removed from Doremi, those are Toei Animation's English-language titles. It is unknown if 4Kids will deviate from them. WhisperToMe 06:35, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

Doremi

Someone split the Doremi pages up even though the English version is just a dub of the Japanese version. The two should be merged back together. WhisperToMe 06:48, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

Ijust saw the cute Wikipe-tan from a link in Chinese Wikipedia board, [1] and found she is a creation of yours. Quite interestingly! People there want to promote Wikipedia to the general public, especially to female population with this cuttie to make Wiki~ more friendly. Need your help

Hi, you are fluent in Japanese and can probably help me solve this issue, related to the manga series Bleach. Please take a look at the page here, at the bottom-left panel, top-right speech bubble.

Notice that it says jūichibantai jūnenme (十一番隊十年目). A certain scanlation interprets this as 10th Seat (i.e. 10th in the command chain) of the 11th company/division. Is this correct? I mean, is it correct to say that this guy is 10th in command?

Please help resolve this issue, it will affect several articles.

So no one asked you about this in advance? Assuming that they didn't actually adhere to the terms of the GFDL (which is pretty unlikely in a commercial mag), then as the artist you'd have the right to be compensated for your work. If you'd like, I'd be willing to speak with them on your behalf. Even if you decide you aren't interested in financial compensation, I think you should still ask for an apology and a printed acknowledgment to you and Wikipedia. It really is very inappropriate for them to take an image off the web and reprint it without explaining who made it and where it came from; it makes it appear that they made the image themselves. Wikipe-tan image

Hi, I was wondering if the image of Wikipe-tan titled The Library of Babel was available under the GFDL and/or CC, and if it would be alright to upload that image to Commons. Also, some of the Wikipe-tan images only have GFDL licenses, are they also available under the Creative Commons license as well, like Image:Wikipe tan casual.png is? -- Ned Scott 03:17, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Hello 70.105.147.48. It is mere one opinion that Wikipedia's personification is considered to be an innocent girl. If you want that Wikipedia must be a mighty-wise man (like Odin ,Krishna or Dr. Manhattan), of course, you can show concrete sketches of him, and you should.
